angel4u, I just read some selections from the mustard seed thread and read where you had mentioned something I wrote. You asked what I meant - and I'll try to put it into words. Perhaps I should post on liberation brew about who has put the pieces of my life back together and given me peace; but I'll try to answer as best I can here on support threads. My husband sat across the table from me last year and told me that he had lied to me, he had been unfaithful. At that very moment I felt strengthened and was able to immediately cope without falling apart - but in the following months I felt my intact heart crumble into a million pieces! But you see, what I thought was my whole heart was not! What I mean is that as a child my heart was harmed and although I patched it up as best as I knew how - it was held together very fragilly ( I know "fragilly" is not a word, but it fits *grin*) Anyway, when I could no longer keep it together with all the ways I had learned to cope and get by; it fell apart. But you know, that's the best thing to have happened to me, because when I realized that my "higher power" had the ability to do what I never could - that's where my peace came from. He not only gave me peace, He gave me a whole new heart. One that could give love as well as receive love (receiving love, I've found to be MUCH harder!) I hope that helps some. ANGEL4U, I would love to hear your story sometime - your words are a well of wisdom from which I've notices many are taking a refreshing drink! Please very encouraged that you are making a difference in peoples lives! Love you, saralynn

Angel4u, I'm posting again so perhaps you will recognize this thread. I'm still relatively new at this, so I'm not always sure how to title threads. I really mean it, I would love to hear your story! I'm sure you've shared it before, but since I'm new...only if you feel comfortable. Maybe I should entitle the thread, "what is your story?" I love finding out the things I've experienced aren't so unfamiliar after all - that I'm not alone. Anyway, I'm off to take my kids to school; I'll check back later! Love to all! ~saralynn

saralynn,

Thank you so much for responding about the "piece to pieces" and sharing your story. I can so much relate to the fragile heart/patches concept, and how you have/are finding peace. And also thak you so much for you rkind words. People here have helped me so much as well, and I so much appreciate everyone.

I am unfortunately having to get to work right now, but promise to post later. I never really started a thread of it's own on my story ... who I am and some of my struggles are kind of spread across several threads since mid-March .. I kind of write when I am having a specific issue, or when something strikes me that I can relate to, or think I can provide feedback for.

I am still working through some of my struggles (and still trying to figure out what they all are, too .. =) ... but think I can provide some information about me to get a better picture of who I am and where I've been.

If there is anything specific you are wanting to know (e.g. family history, relationship history, etc.) let me know.

Talk to you again soon, saralyn. And have a great day!

love & hugs!

angel4U

Dear Angel4u, Thank-you for responding! I hope you have a good day at work. I stay at home with my 3 year old (I have a 7 and 6 year old in school - this is their last week before summer!) so I'm on and off the computer all day. I'm also in the process of indentifying the root of my struggles - the pain from my childhood that keeps me from fulling living life in my present. My husband and I belong to a recovery program called Celebrate Recovery. If you want, I would like to hear whatever you wish to share about your story. Family history is interesting to me, because I believe that's what shapes us. I think too, that by posting on several threads over a certain length of time sort of pieces things together - like a patchwork quilt. Don't feel pressured to put things into story form *smile* I just want you to know I connect with you, and would like to hear anything that you'de like to share (anyone else as well!) hugs, ~saralynn

Hi saralynn,

I wanted you to know that I haven't forgot about you, just have been running short on time. I logged in specifically last night to let you know this, but read WD's thread first and was drawn to respond to it, and then remembered I forgot to send you a note before I shut my PC down.

Give me a little more time, and in the meantime "have a great day"!

Thanks angel! I understand completely! Today was my kids last day at school - awards, collecting school supplies; my daughter plays softball - so we have practices, games...my computer time is here and there between my busy schedule. I don't mind being busy though - there's a difference between busy and overwhelmed. Have a great day - I'll look forward to hearing from you! Thanks, ~saralynn
