Overwhelmimg Waves of Sadness

For some reason this afternoon I felt overwhelming waves of sadness
about the ending of my three year relationship. I have not spoken to him in ... let's see six, or seven days. Because I don't count last monday evening when he was drunk and phoned and said "I didn't mean to call you" And hung up!

Yet I will not call him ... call it pride if you will ... yet some behaviour is to me unforgivable ... at least by me a mere human

Thanks so much for permitting me to think out loud

Still feeling a profound loss. yet ... life goes on. One foot in front of the other. Onwards and upwards. And the cliches go on and on. And remembering and remembering the empowering phrase "I think I can" and then using it when I fall into darkness, loneliness, and longing.

It will get easier! Get yourself out of the house! Go to a motel with a hot tub and fitness equipment for a night or two. Relax! Treat yourself well! Put "Dear John" out of your mind and think about you!

Hi Little,

Yes, the little red caboose? "I THINK I can I THINK I can". It really does work, I feel.

Open your mind to the possibilities. Your heart's already open!

I have filled this coming weekend with many contacts and meetings with friends and family. Fun things too!

Thanks Confused and Honolugal for your words of encouragement and suggestions. It may even get worse before it gets better, and I will stay the course, or climb the mountain, but nothing will stop me except me.
