Thank you for your kind words, Healintime. This was sort of gnawing at me today. But I'm ok. I was more worried about you. I'm glad you're doing better.

So Sam has a ranch! Wow, I wonder if he's near Montana!! And George in Italy! Whoa!! Yeah, that would have been a killer double date! We'll just have to keep hoping for the future! It ain't over yet! LOL!

That's true - there was a ruckus outside my office the other day (annoying) and I was told that the block was being used as a movie set. I live in a small city in Australia - this was not the norm. Matthew McConaughey was literally out there on my doorstep. Don't know how I'd feel about the naked bongo playing but you have to love those dimples.

WOW!!! That must have been pretty exciting!!

My aunt got to see Robert Redford in Livingston, Montana when they were filming "A River Runs Through It". That was pretty exciting for her.

Holy cow - that must mean that Brad and Rob were both there at the same time??? That must have been something!

Yes, according to my aunt. I don't think she saw Brad, though. Unless she didn't know who he was. I don't think she's up to date in that generation. LOL!

One could only dream...

Jen - my Dad is still so proud that he knows what "Bennifer" means that I haven't the heart to tell him that Ben and J-Lo are now both married to other people and the new, hip, thing is "Brangelina.." LOL.

Oh dear...lol...You might have to sit him down and break it to him before he hears it from somewhere else! It's best if he heard it from you first! 🙂

My Mum doesn't see the appeal in Brad -at all- she calls him (imagine thick Scottish accent coming from tiny little woman here) "That ugly heart-throb."

Jen that's hilarious - maybe I'll start by telling him about "TomKat" - need to ease in gently with these things..

Okay, I have to stop now and do some work - this is too much fun.

Higs HF, Jen - thanks for sharing a good laugh.

H x

Hi GG - I almost missed your post amid all the giggling.

Thank you for popping in - and from what I've seen on the threads, you are already brave and also a really good freind to many. It's nice to say "hi" properly for the first time.

Hugs,

H.

healintime... Jenni...

A tad late, but I wanted to reinforce for you guys that you aren't responsible for someone else's reactions. I saw that thread. It's unreasonable to expect yourself to say things "just right" when trying to be helpful so as to not offend anyone. It really isn't your fault if someone asking for help doesn't like the advice you give. They were frustrated, and understandably so, but that's no excuse for taking it out on you.

Now, if you feel responsible for contributing to the escalation of animosity by participating in it, fine, as long as you take responsibility for your part only and not the whole ordeal. THAT definitely is a learning experience, and I commend you for humbling yourself enough to accept the lesson and grow from it. But balance is warranted, especially if you struggle with codependency. If that's the case, there is a natural temptation to take on more responsibility for the exchange than is reasonable or healthy, and becoming aware of that is a learning experience in itself.

Take care!

TraCo

LOL -- healintime, I love your story on your Mom!!! Picturing that being said in a Scottish accent is priceless! And, truth be told, I agree with her. Brad was super attractive when he first got big, but then it was like he became toooo pretty. Then he seemed to rebel against the image, grew the shaggy beards, and became mountain man ugly. Blech!

For my money, he's okay, but he's no Johnny Depp.
