When I was in fifth grade, I started to get teased about anything and everything. The teasing continued into high school. Now, I have no confidence in myself. Everytime that I do something wrong, I beat myself. I don't do it physically but I do it mentally. I believe that the teasing has lead to a sexaul addiction but I am not sure.

hey hun we are here for yop. I also beat myself up emotionaly. I have realy low self esteem and no matter what i do its not good enough for me. you just have to find something that you are actualy good at and work on it. for me it was poetry and i actualy got a poem published. find a hobby or something that you enjoy doing and try to consentrait on you being the specialo persion that you are no one on the face of this earth is like you and you should be proud of that

In SLAA, It isn't really a need to know what led to the addiction, we just begin to address the addiction by asking for help, turning it over to our Higher Power, and doing as guided / suggested.

It's a given that most problems had their beginning in childhood.

I didn't stop acting out bigtime sexually until it scared the crap out of me. I was then ready to begin to deal with it. That's the first thing: readiness for help.

It just this past year reached up and grabbed me again, hard, with an emotional / light affair. It doesn't go away, but waits patiently for weakness.
