Random,

I know that I am ready to be married. We have such a solid relationship and can tell one another anything. My love is as high as the sky goes.

Well, the wedding is less than 3 months away. I am in the process of getting my dress altered. It looked beautiful once she had it all pinned up. I looked good which is good for me to say because of my low self esteem. I stil have to choose my bouquet of flowers. WHite calla lillies or lily of the valley are both ones of interest. Just a very small bouquet since it is an intimate beach wedding. I have my jewelery. I am going to wear a necklace and earrings. I am going barefoot for the ceremony, but afterwards, we are all going to eat out so I have shoes!!! Good thing I didn't forget those or I would be wearing a gown with tennis shoes. LOL!! I have decided to get my makeup done by a professional. I want to look natural, but define my features. I want to look like katie holmes because I already look like her. I want to look like she did for her wedding. My sis-in-law is doing my hair. Don't know how to do it yet but I will figure it out. That is about it. Oh no, we went out yesterday and looked at wedding bands and were going to go cheap. My fiances is $100 and mine is $1200. A plain band looked stupid with my engagement ring because it has five diamonds. One in the center and two on each side. We are tight with money, but we will make it happen one way or another. I will have 2 beautiful rings for the rest of my life. Gonna go for now. If anyone has any ideas on for me to stay calm on the big day, feel free to share. Thanks in advance.

That sounds like a very Romantic sensational Wedding...by the beach...you look like Katie Holmes, that means you're beautiful and sweet and please don't put yourself down.

Here are some tips:

* Hire your wedding gown instead of buying new one, or see if someone in your family still keep their gown, this way it will be free & you'll save so many bux. Many places offer/teach you how to do Make-up demostration for FREE, so take advantage of that.

* Waxing: do it at beauty schools is really a lot cheaper than beauty institutes. Sometimes, when students have exams, they offer it for Free, so again take advantage of that.

* Facials: can be done at home by yourself. But if you feel that you have impure skin, again these beauty school offer it less expensive than beauty salons.

* Spend your time taking bubble baths; reading good books about marriage & what to expect in your marriage; listen to soft music; drink herb teas; pet your pet (if you have one, that would be great); breathe deaply, do some workout, yoga, meditation.

A good book to purchase for someone starting marriage life: "Bring home the joy" by Larry Crabb & Dr. Kevin Leman.

Remember the rule of thumb: KEEP IT SIMPLE IN EVERYTHING!!!!

Wishing you ALL the best of love, romance & marriage to you & your husband-to-be!!!

(((Hugs, Wellwishes & Prayers)))

I can relate to the nerves, J and I never "Offically" got married, we've just bee ncommitted(even while he should have literally been committed in a menta lhospital LOL) so we're planning to "elope" plaaning/elope oxy moron?? LOL well we're planning to "run off" to Niagara Falls ,adn do a really really small ceremony with only our parents there, and perhaps his sister adn my best friend. In March, but I'm waiting for my tax refund adn some more money to really make reservations, book oour Beautiful suite overlookingthe falls from Ontario wit a fireplace and hot tub In the ROOM!!!
I alreasy have my dress picked out and my aunt adn actually a good friend of mine are seamstesseai so IF it needds alterations I can have them do it...
As for a reception, we want to include family and friends in a "official" celebration so my friend offerend her house becasue she lives on THREE acres and has the room.I am making announcements myself to send out announcing the ceremony adn will sned them as soon as we set the date for reception/party in mayor june, when its nice out. Making my own announcemts is saving em a FORTUNE!! all I need is cardstock, and envelopes, I have great programs in my computer adna killer printer, so that will save about $1000-((WhewwWW)
Just have ot plan and budget the party..like do I get tent? what about food/beverages.. should I rent a stage for my friends nad? favors?? Ugghhhh...THIS is one reason we're eloping and another why we never made it official(despite all J's issues, I was never in a hurry, so we've been together for 7 years almost and now are ready-ready. LOL, I had enough trouble planning for my prom 100 years ago, and I never forgot that stress!! LOL

Sooo anywaaay....Tips for staying calm??
* perhaps green Tea?
*mediation
*Medication((LOL)) Xanax does wonders for taking the edge off of jitters, nervousnessLOL,
*Yoga
*make a checklist on your PC and print it out to stay organized,
*switch ot decaf?
*go for short walks
* write in a jounal or here 😉
*Hug your fiance 😀

Thanks for the tips everyone. Hope things go well for you addicts wife. It sounds nice. Ras, I don't have the best skin so I am worried about it not looking it's best. I am getting my makeup professionally done so I am sure they can use concealer and whatever else they use to make you look your best. I am nervous but I think it is nervous energy. I am very excited, but have some worries. I am sure everything will be fine. 82 days to go and I will be a married woman. No longer single.
