the key to all this is excercise regularly, eat only homemade food if you can cause then you can control the caloric intake and also water water water. Also, while you are excercising, you lose electrolytes. Most people think that you should drink gatorade but actually, vitamin water has less calories but does the same thing. I am giving advice because in the last three weeks I have lost ten pounds and thought I could be a motivator.

Congrats loverbee!!!! You are a motivator.

It is 6:00 a.m. and just got back from gym, walking on treadmill is all I can do until after my surgery. Okay, I have done it twice this week and it makes me feel so good. My husband thinks it is stupid to wake up that early. I am too tired after work. Well, I am drinking my first glass of water and then getting ready to go to work.

THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE INPUT AND SUPPORT!

actually it isn't stupid to be waking up that early. If you wake up early and excercise at least two times a week, you are more likely to get a sound sleep at night.

Hey guys,

I'm in too, I started monitoring what I was eating last Friday like you guys did and I think I've already lost a couple of pounds.

I love all your positive attitudes. I have been drinking water, stepping up the exercise and cutting down on eating as well. I do not have alot to lose, and I do this periodically just to get back in shape.

What a great thread to motivate and inspire us!! Count me in!!

Actually free spirit, it isn't cutting the eating out that will help you lose weight. It is all about portion control. I eat a lot of little meals during the day. They each have certain vital things like protien and stuff and it has worked wonders.

depression works wonders for me....I just don't want to eat....I think I've lost 5-7 pounds, although I don't have a scale....not a healthy way to go, but hey, I am wearing some pants right now that used to make my thighs look like sausages. And I used to have "fold-over" at the waist. Now they're a bit loose.

Is it sad that I can find something good about being depressed?

perhaps it is a sign that you have the ability to pull yourself out of it. Thats a good thing I think.

hey zax - I know the feeling. When I was in hight school, my first boyfriend broke up with me :o(. I thought I was going to die. I went from 102lbs to 88lbs in two and half weeks, because all I could choke down was milk. That's the only good thing that comes from being depressed... a smaller waistline. Cheer up :o)

yeah...I just feel sad that I feel happy about it...

Like I am encouraging my suffering (keep feeling bad, zax, soon you'll be back to fitting in your size 4s....)

Anyway, I have never been able to stick to any diet...I hope all of you here are losing weight the old-fashioned, healthy way.

Alright girls -

I'm on track - not sure if I lost as much as FREE SPIRIT! (good job btw)... but I'm still hanging in there. Today, I had my coffee, egg, half bagel for bfast. Just got through with half turkey sandwich and small ceasar salad. I'm drinking a new energy drink and I'm pretty much bouncing off the walls right now. AND I walked the dogs last night... gg, you're my new inspiration for activity so don't listen to your husband... I count on you!

Hi girls,

Good job all!!! Esp. Free! Keep in mind one other thing.

If you can cease all eating 3 hours before bedtime, you will lose much faster. It's the HARDEST thing to do, but give it a try.

I think I finally made it through my first successful day. Zax, I gain weight when I am depressed and since this was my worse year ever, I gained 30 pounds since March!!!

I still don't know if I am eating too much. I am trying to weigh only weekly. Since I finally started walking, I have slept all night for the last 3 nights!!!

BUT, my twins are having a big birthday party this Sat. and there will be lots of cake, cookie cake, icecream, hamburgers, etc.!!!!

I forgot who mentioned about staying busy, but that suggestion is helping for me and my house is really getting cleaned!

Hope you all have a great weekend, will be in touch.
