I just received my mail today and she told me that she has my mail at her home (which is about three and half hour away) from my home. I wasn't aware what she was talking about my mail. She said that she did open a mail to put in with other mail because my package in a UPS mail didn't fit in the regular mail.

Today, I opened my mail and felt so upset that she opened my student loan paperwork that has information about my massive debt. I felt so violated that she opened my package without asking for my permission. She may have read some of my loan paperwork. She has looked into my personal paperwork in the past.

I felt like I am losing my respect for her since that she did that to me. She may know about my massive debt and she may tell my family about that. I want to keep this to myself about my expensive student loan.

I feel like I do not want to trust her anymore and do not want to share anything with her because she made me feel violated. She may told my family about that to keep a sercet and they would know how much debts I have now.

What should I do next?

SJ~

First get all the facts straight as much as possible. Instead of assuming ("She may have read..."..."She may know about..."... "She may told my family..." confront her ...ask if she read what was inside the opened piece of mail. THEN regardless of her answer state how you felt when you realized your mail had been opened "…felt so upset... ..." … “I felt so violated…” and from there not sure what else to say!!

Its a boundary thing - someone crossed one of your boundaries and you have a right ( and a need) to state how it made you feel.
