I think the best thing you could do for your sister is to be her friend, no matter how much she weighs. Help her to find out what matters to her, what makes her happy, what she wants in life... be her friend.

No doubt she knows she has a weight problem. My bet is she just wants love and acceptance at this point.

My sister and I are in our late thirties now. I can't imagine my life without her. Sisters are forever friends. Make the most of your awesome opportunity to have a friend for life.

Luck to you and your sister :))

Could your sister be stressing out over something? I have a younger sister myself. In the past few months after graduating from college, she's gained 20 pounds...and she had always be very thin. Anyway, she gained mainly cuz she was at a crossroad. She now had a degree and not a clue what was next to do. She was hit with the reality of being an adult. (Sis has lived with the folks the whole time...she has no idea how it is to be on her own).

Maybe try talking to your sister...and go for a stroll while doing it. My sister and I aren't very close, but we always chit chat.

Another suggestion...I leave my yoga and pilate workout DVD out in the open, or do them in front of my sis. Now my sis is working out more than I am.
