Way to go student1.... sounds like you are making some positive changes in your life. Keep in mind that is a wonderful accomplishment. Most of us go day to day with no changes (comfortable but .....). 2lbs in a week is great.. what is your goal? For a while I worked with weight control persons in a health environ. and often they would want fast results ie.... 6 lbs a week or some other unrealistic goal... you know this is leading to a story ....lol. One client of mine stated she had been on every diet and lost weight and was now on the latest FAD. Within weeks it toooo failed. I asked her to work with me on 2lbs a week and she said it was too slow. I asked her what she weighed a year ago and she told me (I forget and am fudging numbers here) she weighed like 10lbs lighter. So I proposed to her that losing 2 lbs a week is over 100 lbs in a year and if she had started a more sensible approach 1 year ago... well you see the MATH (pardon the punn). As for your slowing down and thinking I am reminded of an old thought... When I work I work hard... when I play I play hard... when I think I fall asleep.....
