ok, how's this sound:

i found this old vintage spoon ring that's about 1/2" thick with really beautifully worn in roses in it and a cool pattern around the edge.

i'm looking for a red mexican fire opal (my birthstone) and a yellow citrine (her birthstone and from her country) to have set into the ring-yellow roses signifying friendship, and red roses being true love.

trying to figure out what to have engraved on the inside, maybe siempre or forever?

then i'm thinking of putting it on a necklace, and underneath the tattoo of her name i got on my heart writing "please say you'll spoon me for the rest of my life".

heh heh. i'm feeling pretty proud of myself right now thinking of this. what do you all think?

also, i want to find some sort of fair trade/ecologically friendly stones, just hoping somebody may have an idea?

wow that all sounds extravagant! I'd be over the moon with a simple ring and on one knee! Maybe because I'm English! Stiff Upper Lip and all that!
But anyway I don't know anything about stones but please let me know how the proposal went.

take care 🙂

(((((((((OrangeBoy)))))))
That is truly a sweet, and romantic thing you've thought up there.. as well as creative!!!
I LOVe the please say you'll spoon me forever" concept!!! I think that totally ROCKS!!!
And I use ebay quite frequently.. Ive not had Bad luck there, but with gemstones Id be a little wary of getting authenticity down, and knowingg what ot look for such a wording thier products funkily etc. there is a "Buying tips" section ebay has that can be VERY helpful. Also , you wanna be SURe to look at thier feedback ratings and How many items theyve sold. for instance, If their feedback is like 75% out of 100% positive, Id look for another seller. You can read their feedback too to see what other buyers have said aboutthem. Ive been cautous of buying fro mfolks who havent sold a lot of things, as they may be ebay scammers. You can look for the "powere sellers"

(((((((((hugs)))))))))))I'll think about other engraving ideas, but i do like yours too!!

(((((hugs)))))

did a search on ebay for ya' and theres a LOT of Fire opal and citrine loose gemstones with wht looks like reputable sellers. ((check ur mail)), and search under loose gems-____ name of stone.
be sure to look at how much shipping is to othough, because a lot of sellers get ya by cheap chap listing prices, but kill you with shipping costs.

thanks for your concern overcome. yes, i did get her name tattooed on me, i've thought about it quite a bit and made a decision that i feel good about. i got my first tattoo nearly ten years ago, so i'm well aware of what it means.

and while you say that you are not trying to hassle me, your post felt quite condescending, as generally when people say "you sound young" when they're not referring to your voice, really, what they tend to mean is "you sound foolish and immature and i'm looking down on you," don't you think?

just trying to talk assertively with you on the thread in question as it says in the guidelines, dude.

OB-

Spoon forever? Love it.............you have given me hope of romance again!

She sounds like a lucky lady - of course I don't really believe in luck.

Cheers,

hope

Orange,

Sorry if I came off that way. Just thnk tatoos with names are very...well....forever.

But you know your relationship better than anyone....especially anyone trying to give advice over the net. Its a calculated risk, but I respect your decision.

The ring sounds absolutely beautiful. And romantic gesture too.
