Im sitting here wondering about my life and where it all goes from here. Twenty six with a wife and a new child we brang into this world. the problem with my life is that im a Marijuana addict with no career and no ged or diploma. Always feeling worthless and unapreciated when im the kindest person to everyone who crosses my path. I put myself in my own depression and i can not get out, its hard. Jobs are ruthless now, i have filled out so many application and been through so many jobs and careers and none of them make me happy because i see the corruption within that field. I could be the perfect HR Manager with all the stuff i see i could fix. My name is Gary and IM LOOKING FOR THE ANSWER?

You are married with a wife and a child on the way? What kind of future do you want fore your child...for your wife and urself? First you must care about you and get help and then an education...people do it and you can do it too...I did it...I had no one to help me...it comes down to what you value more...drugs or yourself and family...what you pick is what you care more about...

You get one life...so many in this world end up dead before they get their chance...life is short. Embrace it...take ladys advice...care about yourself....do what you must to have a real life...get out of your self made prison...

Do not let people who put you where you are now have that satisfactiuon...find youself...fight it or else your pass this on to your child and your all be unhappy...your worth more...believe that till you do believe it....

My late husband was in the same boat. Major pot head. No GED. Had to take random construction work when he could get it.

Well, we had a son and then he turned his life around at age 31! Got his GED. Went to night classes. Took an apprentice job in Air Testing & Balancing (a spin-off of air conditioning in commercial buildings.)

Fifteen years later, he owned his own business and was grossing $250K/year.

Oh, did I mention that he stopped smoking weed? Soon as our son was born? And that he worked two jobs at time, to keep food on the table and the rent paid while he was getting his education?

All it takes is gumption.

No guts...no glory. And get off the drugs. By the way, who's paying for them while you lay around stoned? Your wife?

Step 1: Stop smoking pot. If you need help, check out Narcotics Anonymous.

Pot is sapping your strength and your motivation. It is a depressant, thereby exacerbating any inclination you already have towards depression. You will be able to move your life forward when your mind is clear of mood altering substances.

Hi Gary,

Maybe go to a doctor or mental health place. It could be that you have undiagnosed clinical depression, and are self-medicating with Marijuana. It's worth checking out. If that's not it, then at least you know. If that is what you have, then maybe the right meds and some counseling can get you back on track and in the right direction.

Counseling could also help you figure out why you feel that you are worthless and unappreciated.

You need to get your mind clear so that you can achieve your goals.

Good luck.

hi Gary,
welcome..

i think 'pot' itself is not too bad.."in moderation" but if u r a 'pot head' u need some help,, esp u have a new baby 2 take care of,

i know u said u filled out apps,
but if u dont have a GED yet, that's the reason u cant get a job.
u need 2 get help to get off 'pot' and go get ur ged...

what does ur wife do? who takes care of the baby, (if she goes 2 work)?
(i hope its not u) not sayin u r a bad parent, just hard 2 do it and be 'messed up' i know, i dont do any drugs/alcohol when im with my son , which is 24/7 (lol)

im sure u r a good person u just need to pull ur self together for ur family!!!!

Good luck 🙂
