No regrets just acceptance.
Today is a new day my friends.
Why waste it in regrets....focus on what you can do to make it a good day!
You will feel better looking for solutions.

Why do you think that listing your regrets will help you?

What would happen if you didn't regret?

If we just learn our lesson from our mistakes and move on - not giving any energy to the things we want to leave behind - would'nt it be scary? Wouldn't it feel great!

Yeah, but I think that its important to realize what you regret, and its important to understand and accept the reasons why you did it nevertheless.

Sometimes we have to stir around these things until we come up whith a really good reason for things.

Example:
I didn't finish my thesis.

So I could choose to regret that. Search for a reason why I didn't succed there. Come up whith things like "I'm too stupid; I just didn't put enough time and effort into it, sloppy me." These kind of *reasons* are not really what I like to hear about myself, and they don't seem helpful for my future. And I know that I'm not stupid. And I realized that I didn't put enough effort into it - but I wanted to, and kind of couldn't. So I had to look for the reasons behind the reasons. And for the reasons behind them. And learn a lot about myself, some interesting things, some frightening things, all very important.

Now I know that I could propably do a thesis if I wanted the title, I know how I would have to choose it, which traps to avoid. But more important: I found out what I want from life, and what I want from a career. And therefore I don't regret having started to do a thesis, I don't regret not finishing it. I could regret that I wasn't wise enough to know before what I know now. But then - this doesn't seem worth the effort.

So - yes, regrets are important, but not for keeping, for working on them.

Good luck on the way chloeysmomma.
Did you find some of the reasons behind the reasons for your regrets?

The things that I regret are being born to this world felling sad and tired all the time, and most of all I regret in not being able to take my own life to get rid of the pain in my heart and my soul.

I regret not focusing on my
inner self and all the happiness
that I am willing to give.
Petty judgemental jealous rages
about something that I can/t
control feed int to my poor
choices of having an aura
of heartache and pain.

I started to think of my regrets, and realized that if I hadn't made that choice, might have messed with the entire process of learning, for me , my kids, others... Mistakes or opportunities, or Bull Crap ??? What ever I did it, its over, shoulda woulda coulda I try not to go there, and remain in the present. When I am healthy !!!! Evolution is my story. I can't do any thing about it today, but hopefully not make the same mistake tomorrow, I have hope, and faith in me now more than ever before, maybe I got it. Not perfect, but accepting... Damn I am only human
