Sometimes life really seems so tough. Just got the news that my car is not fixable (unless I got a new engine). Once again we don’t have a working car at all, and I just want to cry.

Actually, I can't stop the tears.

Jas,

I'm so sorry to hear this. Went thru something similar with my Ex-H, and long story short I have been car pooling with him for 2 months now because he had no car. He has a job that is not at a consistent place.. so bus-service isn't even an option for him. It's been an inconvenience to say the least, but it is working out. And I know it's hard to believe but things will work out for you too.
They always have a way..

Do you have anyone who can help you thru this.. financially- or help get you around until you figure it all out?

jastypes,

life seems to always dump several problems on us at once...

Some ideas for alternative transportation until you can get a car...

is there a public transit system in your city/town?

try to carpool with friends or coworkers- even ask around at any groups you may participate in (such as support groups, church groups etc) to see if anyone can help

some car dealers can offer deals with no downpayment if you have good credit

see if there is anyone out there with an extra car you could borrow.

Good luck with all of this.
I would cry too if I were in your situation. Just keep trying different options. Something will work out eventually- just don't give up.

Hugs and support,
Chelonia
