"I don't know if my wife left me cause I started drinking, or I started drinking cause my wife left me." Nick Cage, Leaving Las Vegas. One of my favorite movies, just thought I'd like to share that. 🙂

My favorite movie of ALL time (and I am NOT a movie person AT ALL) is Hook with Robin Williams.

I don't even have a favorite scene, as they are all good.

I have played the VHS tape so much that it's worn out.

Rising, yes a classic, my daughter loves it, I love showing her my era family movies such as Goonies, E.T., she enjoys them, her favorite scene on Hook, "I've been shot!" (high Pitch voice) Gets her all the time, truelly a good movie!

I've been shot!!!!!!!!!! classic line, I love it.

or - hey rufio, why don't you go suck on a dead dog's nose??? and the food fight ensues....He's doing it, he's playing with us.....

or - you need a mother very very badly!!!!

or - lost, lost, I lost my marbles.....

I could keep going.....

did you see the movie popeye with shelly duval (and robin williams, I think?) - anyway, I would SWEAR that the pirate/wharf scene is a copy of the popeye movie.

loved the movie, great cast - rod stewart's son was the curly top red head, and the adult cast was phenomenal.

Gayle, I'm 29, Me 2!! My favorite line, "I'm doing society a favor! So!" Such a cool movie, funny thing I remember my dad always telling me when he'd show us movies from his era he'd always say "they don't make movies like this anymore" I'd just shrugg and blow it off, Now when my friends and I talk about 80's movies, karate kid, 16 candles, back to the future, we laugh and say, "they don't make movies like that anymore. LOL

How about Better Off Dead? The Princess Bride, and Happy Gilmore...my favorites! Oh, and Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail - I can quote every line from all of those movies...

"Gee Ricky, I'm sorry your mom blew up".

I'm 30, so all of the movies mentioned here bring back great memories!

I just left my wife late last year and our divorce is almost complete. It's hard sometimes but I know it's for the best, this has been the 1st time in my life that I haen't been married or have a girfriend since I was 18, just trying to enjoy the time apart, but it's not easy.

I know what you mean. We got married straight out of high school, got pregnant before we got married. I did have a boyfriend but it was long distance and we have decided to just be best friends, he won't move here and with my kids and school, I'm not going to sell my house to move there. So we are at a stalemate. If it was meant to be then it would be, ya know! I am familiar with your story. You seem to be better, remember- don't drink and dial:)

Go further back. Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Jane Powell was great in that movie. She has a wonderful voice. lol. Makes me think of those sobbin women.

I loved watching Greer Garson and Walter Pigeon in Mrs. Miniver and the 2nd Mrs. Minivere movie also.

Van Johnson was to die for in any movie he started in.

Now these movies of course were before my time. But I just love watchin the old classics.

Mama! I love old black and white movies-Arsenic and Old Lace is too funny! Although one of my most favorite old movies is the Seven Year Itch! I don't own it but I think I will look for it this weekend!
