columbia,

Thank you, thank you so much!! Your timing is perfect with this. My daughter has been harrassed at school since it started this year, by another girl. This other girl does have the emotional maturity of a 5-year-old and has been trying to make life miserable for my daughter, who is trying not to "get into it" with her (she is 14 and a good kid).

I ran off some of the articles on "bullying at school" and gave them to her. She is now ready to kick some immature b*** by meeting with this girl face-to-face and not backing down. She does not want to involve the principal, other teachers and especially me, she wants to handle this on her own. My two areas of comfort are that she has taken self-defense (tae kwon do) and I'll be praying for her :).

Thank you for listening to who or whatever prompted you to post this.

Regards,

CM

i had a girl taunt me from 7th. grade through 10th. it was in 10th grade i decided i wasn't 'RUNNING" ANYMORE. my 3 brother's and my dad took me in the back yard, for hour's teaching me self defence move's. long run,i beat her up.( for a change) your daughter should be fine, unless it take's place on school campus, then she may have some problem's.another thing to ponder, because she has taken self defence, they (school) could look at your daughter as the BIG THREAT. in any case,in order for this girl to leave your daughter alone, your daughter must stand up for her self, till she does, this BULLY will continue. good luck to your daughter,i know she want's to handle it her self, you might want to call school any way to let them know this girl is bulling your daughter, you may find out other parent's have complained about her, this will keep it at YOUR DAUGHTER WAS DEFENDING HER SELF,the diffrence? being expelled or suspended, susan
