...and can NOW understand the critical acclaim for this series.

What would you accredit this sitcom's success to?

For me, it was the honesty.

I was also amazed how they were able to pack so much emotional charge into the whole scenerio without feeling that the viewer was being "spoon-fed."

I think - what I liked the most about this sitcom is what it didn't do....it didn't insult my intelligence - as so many others like it tend to do.

I felt that it was real and raw.

The only other sitcom that I can compare this to would be "Six Feet Under."

Though - I must say - that Grey's Anatomy seemed to match that anty....then raise some.

I feel a little bit weird in that it has only been recently (within the last week) that I saw an episode of Grey's - (hell - I don't even know if it is Gray's or Grey's) I just know that it is good and it is quality.)

Something REAL on the telly - - - go figure!!!!!!

Amazing writers - amazing actors - - Now I know what all this fuss has been about all this time................

hi truthB,

it's the only show I really watch. I have to see it on my computer (you can view it for free on abc.com) because I am in class on Thursday nights....but yeah. I really enjoy it. I end up crying nearly every episode.

I love Grey's Anatomy. It is intelligent show. I have not seen a show I have been hooked on since the days of Dawson's Creek. Ok so it cannot be compared to high school life, but that show had intelligence and raw emotion too. At least I have something to look forward to on thursday night. I have seen Six Feet Under just once and thought that was a fantastic show. The rest of tv really stinks. I mean reality show are just too much of them and meaningless shows. And most of the sitcoms are too dry and dumb. I end up watching evening news which focuses too much on Hollywood. It is refreshing to look forward to something.

Yeah, I just watched it again last night. I'm hooked.

I like 6 Feet Under too! It used to air on HBO - but now I think that either A&E or the Bravo channel has picked it up. Bravo I think it is as sometimes they run marathons of a particular show and I remember watching 6 Feet Under back to back to back - so maybe it was Bravo.

Anyway, so refreshing to watch something intelligent on TV!!!!!

Discovery Health Channel has some good shows too!

Grey's Anantomy is a great show! I try to see it if I am home, and now, thanks for what SouthGoing Zax mentioned, I can consider watching it on my computer.

The only other show I watch regularly is Medium. This just appealed to me so much, and it is based, on the true experiences of Allison Dubois, psychic, a real person, who does work on the police force in Tucson. I enjoy the family dynamics and the topics covered. I generally ignore crime dramas, but this is a real treasure.

Grace,

Hmmmm - Medium. I've heard of it but have never seen it.

I'll be on the look-out for it and check it out.

I think that we may be well on our way for checking out these other types of realities regarding mediums and psychics etc..... and much more open to it as a whole.

I know that I really enjoyed watching "Crossing Over" by somebody (John?) Edwards and stuff by James Van Praugh (spelling)

I am starting to realize that indeed there are individuals amongst us with "gifts"...take Edgar Casey for example.

I am all for though-provoking TV!

Does anyone own a TIVO?

I've heard great things about it - but not sure how it works...and how easily it would be to navigate.

What? Izzy and George hooked up? I don't think George and Callie should have rushed to get married in the first place. Ha. I think there is some real life added to this show. I think that is why it hits home. It is complex relationships showing real life emotions. Love it.
