I don't really know quite what to say. I feel very isolated from the rest of the world. Don't get me wrong I have a job and friends, I just don't feel close to anyone, not even family members. I find it hard to communicate with people. I can't express myself properly. I've lost interest in all the things I used to enjoy doing. I spend most of my time in my room, 'cos I can't bring myself to go out. I feel trapped and frustrated and I can't think of what I can do to make myself feel better. I know this probably sounds really whiny but I hate living like this and I want to change things but I don't know how

Hello Aardvark this is Lilith. I know how you feel and I just wanted to respond to you because it feels good to see when someone cares about your feelings. I would suggest talking to your doctor about your feelings. I have done this today, and I am also seeking therapy. All these feelings you have may be hiding some things more troubling inside. It is good to talk. I hope you come out of your room and enjoy Christmas with your family, as some others do not have anyone to share these holidays with.

Keep going through the motions.

Lilith is right. Go to a doctor. Get a complete physical. Talk about how you feel-make the doctor hear you!! Get checked for depression. Watcch your nutrition, get more exercise and research how you feel in your local bookstore.

If you live in a wintery place read up on seasonal affect disorder.

It's a plus that you don't like the way you are feeling. That means you can find a way to feel better.

Keep a journal of what makes you feel the most trapped and frustrated. rereading it in three weeks may give you insight on what to change.

Keep us posted!!
