I slept for most of the day. When I went out to work, all we had was a little bit of a drizzle. The sky was completely covered with clouds, but they weren't pouring down on us. Every now and then lightning would flash in the far off distance and turned the whole sky a light blue/greenish color. It was freaky.

We got in our truck and suddenly all hell broke loose... I think. The tops of the trucks were threatening to blow off. The rain pelted the sides of the trucks so hard that we could barely hear each other talk. The power blinked out a few times. And there was the vague threat of being struck by lightning while standing in a big aluminum truck.

Then, around 2:45 the noise died down. As did the package flow. We cleaned up our trucks and went outside. Not a drop of rain was falling. There was a light balmy breeze that gently touched my face. It was really nice out there. Until I started driving anyway. Leaves and branches were covering every road. You couldn't see the lane lines, but nobody else is driving at 3 AM, so it wasn't tragic. Every now and then a traffic light would be out. Some neighborhoods had no power. A few trees were knocked down completely and had flares diverting traffic.

It sounded like one hell of a good storm. Too bad I was too busy loading wet boxes to enjoy it.

Be careful out there Silence the weather can be pretty bad.

Our street had some lines down the other day as everyone was driving to work thankfully no one was hurt.

We have a big transformer in out back yard and all powerlines going here and there, we heard a large pop and our power went out for about2 hours then came back on with another pop. We have an older home and the lines are installed the old fashion way not underground like the newer lines.
