So,I have a question. Ive been noticing throughout the past couple of years of my life that I dont ever seem to click with any females (i am a female myself). I only have 1 female friend that I can stand and trust. I tend to talk a lot of crap behind other girls backs, and can never seem to make an effort to be friends with females. Its like I always see a female as competition or someone that will eventually stab me in the back. Now when it comes to guys..any and every guy could be my friend and i have no problem trusting them. And its not a sexual thing or anything like that, I just prefer the company of a male. Im beginning to see that this whole mess is causing me more problems than needed. I want to be able to bond with girls and have girl friends. Why am I making is such a competition? Now does this relate to me being codependent? I know that distrust is a character of codependency, but why is it that i can only not trust females? Do you have any advice on how to over come this?

I love hanging out with girls, but they seem to talk behind ones back often. However, guys seem much more laid back and more fun. I feel pretty much the same way.

i have a simmilar problem. i think partly it has to do with you said you feel like you feel competative around other women. you wouldnt need to be competive around men therefor youde be more relaxed around them, able to express yourself more freely. maybe just try one friend thats a girl ya know. find one who you share simmilar intrests with and by and by maybe you can start trustibg this woman and feel more and more open to be your self. everything will take time but the more you do it the better it will get and the easier it will be to open yourself up to other women. just remember if one woman fail to be a trustworthy pal not all will be that way.

Faceit,

There always seems to be jealousy and competition between people esp if they were of the same sex. Even opposite sex seems to compete and be threatened by one another.

I think the reason for this is because we live in a world that teaches us to be # 1 and to love nobody but ourselves.

Try to look for a woman/girl who loves herself who is wise, spiritual and mature. These women are in the minority, and I am in the same boat as you Faceit, but they are worth the trouble and the search.

Do not settle for less and choose to be all alone and happy rather than with bad company!

~Love, Ras~
