I am afraid to post anymore here without the assurance that being attacked, ridiculed, rejected, sworn at, made fun of, mocked, and victimized is not acceptable. I started a thread yesterday with some very sweet and what I believe are genuine replies, though as I proceed to read through the threads, I am not sure that this is a healthy place to be either. Does this happen all of the time here? Is it tolerated? I do not see this as a healthy way to communicate, grow or heal. I am in a situation that I really need help, not to be further traumatized in my situation.

if you have issues with threads....at the bottom of the page that shows each thread, there is a link to "site coordinator" and if you email her she will respond.

It has been going on alot here lately and in the past with attacks, and people judging and critiziing...and yes, it is not healthy.

good luck!

Skylyr,

Yes, supposedly ther is a site coordinator. I have been posting here since Auggust of this year and have seen several instances of abuse, IMO. Yet, have not once seen the Site coordinator step and take action. The only think that I am aware that the SC has adressed is the religious issue on the support side. Other than that I have not seen any action taken against those who abuse and violate the rules set forth by the SC. It is pathetic really.

I too am leary of posting out of fear of being judged and attacked when the mood strikes someone. I feel like I have to watch my back at all times becuase I never know when someone is going to show up unleash.

Best of luck to you,

Precious

(((Skylyr)))

I'm sorry you are feeling judged. I've been here for a couple years now and have gotten tremendous amounts of support and love from others here.

Lately I've mostly just hang out on the coffeehouse thread. Come by and say Hi sometime, I'd love to chat over a cup of coffee or tea or juice or whatever you're in the mood for.

I have seen the moderator ban and remove individuals who are out of line and causing hurt. I have seen her post guidelines and warnings when a number of people get out of hand over something.

I don't know the specifics of any of the ugliness that is currently out there, because I haven't had time to read other threads much. In the past when I have encountered ugliness I try to keep in mind that this is a place where many people come who are hurting and needing help. Part of that might be needing to learn how to communicate without hurting others. Those who are judging, attacking and hurting haven't learned how to communicate in a healthy way. Just as you come here to seek guidance and support, they might be here to learn how to communicate better. They usually have aways to go before they are supportive, but as long as they are trying to get better and improve themselves I think that we need to give them honest feedback of how they have hurt us in order to support them on their journey of growth. If it is something way out of line or something that they are doing repeatedly and not seeming to try to correct, then email the site coordinator and let him/her deal with it.

I have had negative comments directed at me in the past, but for every negative comment I've gotten dozens more positive supportive ones. I hope that you have received more support than ridicule here.

I support your journey and hope you find peace and joy along the way.

Hugs, Chelonia

I have been posting and reading on here since June and i haven't come across any negative feedback towards what i have to say that is going on in my life. I have however seen some things on here that i don't agree with but i am still pretty trustworthy of this site and the feedback that i receive. to me if I someone needs to kick me in the butt i am all for it but i think that it can be gone about in a nice way.

I hope you can post and not feel like you will be judged.

I know there is an SC. I haven't seen them around or know if they have done anything but i trust they are there!
