oh... i know what you mean! that irritating place where you're starting to feel better but not quite better enough to run all around and do fun things?!

hang in there... have you been treating yourself nice and taking good care while you've been sick?

first my children and I were sick then the next day my husband got sick. So after I take care of my boys and my husband there isnt much energy left to take care of myself cause my husband still expects all the dishes to be done and such.

oh, and you're pregnant too, right?

Is there any way you could hire someone to clean for you? Or ask a friend or relative for help? You must be exhausted!

ha ha... in my case it's "of."

i'm sick of feeling like there's nobody out there who's emotionally healthy. I'm sick of being sick emotionally. I don't know how to read "signs" of who's healthy out there and who's not. so it seems like nobody is. and it just makes me wonder- is it even possible to be emotionally healthy and raise emotionally healthy kids? do any healthy people exist out there... really?

my bf keeps telling me they do... but i have my doubts!

hey lolli -

I have to remember you're not lollipop3...threw me for a loop for a minute there!

Ah, most of us are screwed up somehow...the healthiest of us admit it, though...it's those who say they are fine who are the real wackos.

oh my... your hubbie expects you to do the dishes when you are sick AND pregnant?!

i dunno about that...

well, i'm not judging him (trying not to anyway...) cause i don't know all of your/his situation. but i do feel for you. seems like a lot you are trying to do right now!

is there any way he could help out... just while you're sick? or maybe he would be willing to understand if they don't get done right away?

My family doesnt have time for me and my husbands family doesnt either. I am 8 months pregnant and suffering from hotflashes my stars I hate being so warm.

Lolli I am sorry that you have had such a hard time. I think that there are varing degrees of being emotionaly healthy some are better than others but I dont think that there is anyone that is truly emotionaly healthy because that would be like trying to find the person that is perfect. But I am sure that there are people out there that are wonderful hunny

Hmm....what about, everyone eats off of paper plates until you deliver? Or, pizza every night, so you don't have to do any dishes?

Seriously, sometimes you can't do EVERYTHING. No one will die if you don't get the dishes done. Is there any way for your h to get that message? I don't know the situation either, so if I'm way off track, let me know - is there any way to get him to help out or to just let the dishes sit until you are feeling better?

yeah, zax... that's what my therapist tries to tell me. it's the "healthy" ones who go into therapy! lol

i feel pretty messed up tho... so what does that mean about those still in denial?! i'm having such a hard time seeing the joy out there in the world. i know it MUST exist but...

anyway... back to Random. this is her post. i don't mean to blab all over it.

Random, here's an imaginary cup of hot tea from me, since i can't give you a real one...

here's a thought: we can both be "sick" together... kind of like a slumber party:) only this one has tissues and cough syrup and self-help books! lol

let him do them, dear, and just don't let him make you feel guilty! You need some help so that you can take care of yourself and your unborn child - if your h tries to make you feel guilty, ask him to carry around your unborn child for the next month! No, really, if he'll do them, ask him to help out - him trying to make you feel guilty is HIS problem - you don't have to accept it. I know it's easier said than done, but I just get the sense you are exhausted - you need some help. Even if it's not optimal, maybe it's worth it to hear some whining...if you can get a little rest,

zax

lolli,

yeah, me too, losing sight of the joy, actually not sure I ever had sight of it...there can be some really dark moments when you start to deal with your own issues - like it has to get worse before it gets better - that ohmygod I'm so screwed up, how will I ever get out of this - moment. Which can last for months. Hopefully not years, though.

Random,

how about a pina colada? Or a mai tai? Some nice frozen, frothy drink with an umbrella? Virgin, of course, but still yummy!

sometimes men don't understand - does he ever watch the kids all day? Can you get him to watch them one night a week so you can get a massage or get your hair done or something? So you can get a bit of you-time and he can get a taste of what your day is like?
