Horsefly- I just wonder if my husbands quality time with the family smoking a blunt growing up lead to other things. I dont think they are a good example or a good influence especailly since he wound up in jail cause he went to far. My son said he was giving it to his 12 year old.

destiny, Yes, I am almost 4 months pregnant.

this pregnancy has been tougher - not sure if it's my age or weight or what...but once baby is born, I am making an HONESt effort to get my weight down and be more active and healthy....I have to...I will have a baby to keep up with....with my older child...it's been easy to be complacent...no chasing after her....and she's a bookworm for lack of better description, so no participating in stuff with her.

D*
Enjoying the sites....LOL
Oh excitment yah baby!My eyes or full! Not really! I look forward to my horse & doing more for me!
I'm on a real Narssistic role here!
I just love that word ... I never realy understood it before the other day! Thanks Destinystar!
It's hard to be Nar. & co-dependent!

And on the Marijanna issue!
I think liquor has been way more toxic in my marriage then pot!
But my husband isn't locked up for growing it!!!! But he tokes every day & is still very productive & remembers everything!
I don't know how he does it!
But when he drinks well that is a whole other thread!!!!!
I think it should be legal like beer & wine 21 & older don't drive & toke ...... coffee house only not on the street.... rules not bars!(jail time for pot is not right! Let's lock up rapes & muderers & thives!
Not pot heads!I've been around it sence childhood.... other then leagl issues POT alone has not done much damage! (in my experince! I mean JUST marijanna not combined with any other substance)

*Booze is way more dangouras in so many ways but it's ok to a piont because it is legal & socialy exectped.

Rising- 4 months is a good stage for a pregnancy. I would not worry about weight. Baby needs it to make the bones, hair, teeth and blood. When it comes to pregnancy weight is a good thing. Have not seen complications from women who gained too much weight but I have from those who did not. If you breast feed the weight will fall right off cause it uses a ton of calories. I had my last 2 when I was 33 and 38. I think it took a toll on my back because I had to work the entire time. I think I would gain about 50 pounds. That is usually what women gain. A lot of it is extra fluid. At least your kids are far enough apart that they can enjoy one another. My 21 year old is like a mom figure to my kids and my 14 year old is like a dad to the 8 year old. They all get along unbelievable they stick together. In that way I feel fortunate. Now you wont be lonely with a little one.

Wasabi- My husband was on everything you could imagine, and very energetic, and able to recall every detail. Unbelievable. I am the one who has no energy and forgets things like where I parked my car.

destiny - my daughter isn't so thrilled with the little one - she's always asserted that she wants to REMAIN the only child - she has no tolerance for small children.

she is MUCH like my bro, who has the same mentality.

but she is adapting and not so angry anymore.

I will be 36 when I deliver. 26 wants a boy - I believe in my gut this is a girl. He wants to try for another, hoping for a boy. I dunno - my first two months were rough - not sure if I want to go thru it again. We'll see.

I said if we could afford for me to be stay at home mom - then I would do it...two in diapers is big daycare $$$$$ and wouldn't pay to do...so only if I could stay home. Also have discussed him being stay at home dad....so anything is possible.

but for now - one is enough...not sure I want another one...already worried about THIS one...as I have gotten lazy in my old age and comfortable with having an older child in the house - not as young as I used to be...and worried about doing it right....I didn't worry with my daughter...as I was thrilled to be pregnant...and kind of "stuck" with it....as she was a surprise....but with this one - we planned it...and now I am thinking "what the hell was I thinking????"....I know it will work out....just my lifestyle is much different these days and I wonder if I am doing the right thing....my lifestyle is MUCH better for bringing up baby (more of a homebody)....but just not sure if I am up to the challenge...just htink it's "new mom jitters"....I am sure I will be fine and have a GREAT partner who will be an awesome dad.

rising -

I had both my sons in my late thirties (35 & 39). They were difficult pregnancies, but I wound up with two healthy sons, so well worth the struggles.

With my second pregnancy, I gained alot of weight, skyrocketing to 203 lbs!! The greatest danger this caused was gestational diabetes. And it was nearly impossible for me to lose all those extra pounds, after he was born (unlike my first pregnancy).

I did not drop the excess 35-40 lbs. for fifteen years! When I did drop them, I lost really quickly and have kept them off ever since. I didn't have a "plan" or follow any diet. I just quit stuffing myself and the weight fell off. Simple.

Glad you are past the first, rough trimester. Morning sickness (which for me lasted 24 hours/day) is the pits. Second trimester is SO much more comfortable.

I was just tired - exhausted and SMELLS bothered me immensely...not much sickness tho.

I started at over 200 lbs...so gaining that much is scary thought.

that's why I need to be better once baby is born.

I am gaining more with this baby than with first pregnancy...again, that scares me....but I know it's only temporary.....PRAYING for no diabetes.

Rising- my last one I had at 38 and knew that would be the last. The pregancy took a toll on my body especially my back. I was lucky to have a wonderful woman care for him for over 5 years or I dont know what I would have done. The pregancy was not planned. So I was very angry about it and even towards him. Things have changed. He is such a blessing. The older ones helped out. Your daughter is trying out her independence and might think of the baby as a set back for both of you. The more you involve her in the babies care and life the better it will be. My daughter adored her brothers and cared for them. It is only natural that a child at any age wants their mom to themself. My 14 year old son hangs around me like you wouldnt believe sleeps in a bed next to me. He sits side by side with his brother 24/7. I think that you worry about if your unborn child will be OK or not. That is perfectly normal. Once the bundel of joy is in your arms. You will be fine. I envy you. I think being pregnant and having a baby is wonderful. I miss young children.
