Is there anyone who has learnt to deal with chronic insomnia, as in days and days without ANY sleep? Trying to give up pills and wine.
Advice badly needed.

I have - at times - experienced occasional insomnia.

I can not address your very valid concern as to chronic insomnia.

So, please do take take my advice with a grain of salt.

All I can tell you is that our bodies have this way of demanding attention from us and will not relinquish their hold.

(They are quite stubborn in that way....)

Something - somewhere - deep down - there is something going on with you emotionally - and it just will not give until you give it a voice.

I might be well off balnace here.

But - for me - when stuff like this happens - I just have to give up my mnetal struggle and quiet/meditate myself enough to tune into the chatter and ask - What Is Going On Here?"

What's Up?

Maybe in time, you will be able enough answer your own questions - you know?

I think - our minds are persistent little devils.

They will knock on our doors any which way possible to try and get our attention.

All they want to be - afterall - is to just to simply be acknowledged.

Maybe this helps - maybe not.

Perhaps others can lend some more info.

Have you tried just simply stretching your body along with deep, simple breathing?

Sometimes - that is all the body needs - just some relaxing oxygen.

A good exercise regiment, right diet, a lot of therapy (to deal with the underlying cause) over time, and meditation tapes have helped me deal with this better than I used to. Have you consulted with your doctor? I would recommend trying a naturapathic doctor who also specializes in accupuncture.

For starters, you need to cut down on the alcohol and hopefully give it up altogether it really wreaks havoc with your system. You should also consider adrenal support care which will help regulate the hormones responsible for letting yor body know it's time to sleep in the evening.... there is a lot that can be done. All the best to ya. Keep researching...
