Today would have been my mother's 68th birthday. It is also the day that my grandfather died 20 years ago.

1986 was a very difficult year, especially for my father. In February, his father died. In June, his mother died. And in October, his wife...my mother died.

With everything else that has been going on recently...I wish she was here. I really miss her.

I'll be glad when today is over.

(((((lolli))))) I'm sorry this is a difficult day for you. Do something special to remember those you have lost, and do something special for yourself. The day will pass, and your sadness will too. A part of them will always be with you.

I second that hug. The birthday-that-would-have-been is just as hard a day as the death anniversary.

Maybe your mom will visit you in a dream. My mother does that every now and then (she's been dead 11 years on Feb. 16th) and it's very comforting when she does.

I agree with readyforchange... remember your loved ones and do something special for you. Sending caring thoughts your way.

Thank you cyber friends,

I am feeling a bit better this morning. I think yesterday, I was just feeling a little sorry for myself...and being it was her birthday, it just made me miss her.

Thanks again

Love,
Lolli

Try to remember all the good stuff. Of course you miss her. And how lucky you were to have you all the time you did.

Lolli, Sorry about the sad day. I guess when I get to feel bad I remember how lucky I am that both of my parents are still alive and healthy in their early 80s. I like to say they are 83 going on 63.

I am sure your mom appreciates the thoughts on her birthday.

John
