At school i was quite a popular guy, flirty with the girls and a class clown. When the bell rang at 3.30pm and school was out for the weekend i had no desire whatsoever to socialise with my schoolmates. There was nothing I loved more than getting home and shutting myself away from everything associated with school and working around our farm. When i left school and started working as a clerk i continued to desert my friends. I had offers to go out with them but i just felt i would no longer need them and all i needed in a recreational sense was the farm. However, that has since turned out not to be the case. I soon got bored with the farm and i was glad it soon went into financial ruins. Being what esssentially is a hermit bore no appeal at all and i soon realised that i wanted to get back into my old social circle again. Its been 2 years since i left school and ive started looking up my old friends but as its been so long and they know of my proud country boy background they have no desire to have me back. As a proud country person the clubbong culture disturbs me i just cant enjoy it and i dont see why i should so i find it impossible to fit into these peoples lives. They remember me and enjoy what we shared at school but as for now they simply dont want me part of their lives and i dont blame them.
I wish i could start again. I know i cant start again with these people but i wish i could just get in with a crowd of people that are also in the same situation as me!!!

Sign up for a community college class that intersts you, go to a friendly church. Go work out at a gym.

You would have drifted from the high school froends anyway but you just didn't hone your social skills.

There is nothing wrong with the proud country culture as long as you don't use it to shut others out anymore.

What it is i need, is to start again. I need to find myself in the same position as what i was in when i was 11 years old and just started high school. When I just started high school I knew very few people but the great thing was everybody else was on the same level. The problem now is everyone else i know has established a group of friends and im not needed to be apart of it. I need them more than they need me! I need to find myself on the same level i was at when i just started high school. I would love to be able to travel to achieve this. Does anyone outhere have any ideas of how i could go about this?

You could look for a new job in a different part of the country.

Also, college is a great way to meet new people and it's easy to get federal funding (as long as you don't have a past drug conviction). I got a loan of $5500 for the year, interest deferred until 6 months after graduation. And the payment plans are pretty lax as well.

try going to church. It doesn't have to be teh childhood one you went to, or even in the same faith. I'm sure you'll find like-minded people there, since the "clubbong" culture disturbs you. I have to mention here that that is sort of judgemental of you, since you obviously don't know the people, how can you make judgements on who they are?

I used to go clubing and stuff. I am a moral person who has a strong faith in God and I lead a good life. I don't think I'm a disturbing person.
