Right now things seem surreal. This is really the first night I am home alone. My daughter is at her moms and now I am sitting here feeling anxiety and just crappy. I know I could probably call my GF (I guess xgf at this point) and "work it out". but things would not chnage. She text me today about her stuff and she was supposed to already pick it up. That has not happened. What do almost 40 year old single people do with themselves when their kids are not there? I feel so out of sorts.....I just don't want to feel like this, but I cannot shake it.

(((Karma King))))

I know how you feel. I still struggle with this and I am 29 the anxiety and not knowing what to do with myself while i am solely alone.
I am still working towards it but I have been doing little projects around my home that I never had the time to get too.
Don't call the gf

hi Karma, you are feeling a loss, a feeling of "change", something/someone is missing.

Breakups are hard, they are never easy, no matter what.

Have you and your gf "confirmed" that you are breaking up and it is over??

Breakup is not confirmed. gf could not handle my daughter moving in with me.

I guess in the end I chose my daughter because that was the right thing to do and she needs me now.

Basically we are on a break. However, her not being here for me through this has really deeply hurt and dissappointed me.

I'm struggling here

I'm sorry to hear you are hurt and disapointed but glad to see you are putting your daughter first!

Have you expressed how you feel to your gf?

I'm sorry for your struggles. I have been having anxiety for other reasons and the last two days, I have been using acupressure for panic and anxiety as well as the Emotional Freedom Technique(EFT) and it's been great. I video for both of these techniques online. All the best and I hope that can get resolved soon...

Sorry to hear you are feeling so miserable. I also suffer from anxiety from time to time. I find keeping busy, and physical activity help (if I can make myself get moving). Whether that activity is exercise, or gardening or cleaning house. If I can distract my brain from thinking, thinking, thinking I can usually get a handle on the anxiety.

Do you have any pets? They are great companions and I find that interacting with them can be a great stress reliever. Relieve the stress, relieve the anxiety. At least thats what works for me.

Best wishes to you.

I usually work out 3-4 times a week religiously. I just can't seem to find the motivation the last two weeks. I do have a pet and I am very close to her, but I been so miserable that I been an aweful owner. I just feel like there is no one in my day to day life that can understand what exactly I'm gong through. Basically I hold it all in and let it eat at me
