Only 28 more points to pass & yet she can't made it 🙁

Her total marks is 122/300 & that makes her the last in class.

What should I do??? What's the problems???

lost soul,
there can be heaps of reasons why exams go wrong. Whith normal children it is usually the motivation that is the problem. Or lack of confidence in their own ability.
Talk it through whith her. Try not to get excited, but to find out what her problem is. Does she want to have a good exam - but simply doesn't work for it? Or does she not understand why she should make the effort. Or are there some 'yesbutts' that keep her (like: boys don't like smart girls, if I am sucessful I will have to.... this kind of screwd thoughts).
And don't go and blame yourself for this. Your daughter is how old? Was it 16? That's an age when she should also learn to take responsibility for herself.
Take care, Eve

Does she just not do well at tests? Is she just not a typical student? Is she better at things like art? Not every child fits in the mold. If she is ok, and just not doing her responsibility, where is her gain, is it fear, is it security, is it punishing you? She is old enough to know that it is her life, and her consequence. Where is the tough love? There comes a time when we must let them fail, and then dish out the punishment.

Hi All

Thank you for the responds. Well, it's just another of the bad day.

I think my daughter has bad learning attitudes. I got her a tutor at the beginning of this year. She quit after two weeks saying she do not wish to teach my daughter because she has problems with her learning attitudes.

Another contributing factor is my mother who is looking after her while I am at work is constantly watching the television!

My goodness, what kind of family I got!!!

Well we can't pick our family, but .... Give the girl the business, its her job, just like you have your job, and what if you quit yours, or got fired, what would she do, some how you need to find the motivation, and keep mom infront of the tv, so she stays out of your way!!!!!!!

I think I should be more firm this time.

I am really really disapointed with her. I don't think my expectations is too much because all I asked for is just for her to be average and pass her exam.

I can't help now but feel real down.

Whoa.....how old is she? What is the reward for passing this exam? Does her life just stay the same pass or fail?

There are consequences for things we do in our lives

I just want my four kids to be average too. But unless she has a learning problem she is making choices about how she does.

Not passing may be the only way she has of letting you know how she is....

Maybe she is not an average learner but has learning problems, When was her last COMPLETE PHYSICAL, DOES she need glasses? Rule out those types of possibibilites and then talk to her teachers. If she is choosing to fail back off and quit giving her money.

We all make choices and maybe her choice is to not do well.

This depends on the age.

You may have to get rid of your mom and have someone else be there.
