Hi. I doing this becuase I have no idea where else to go. I've been trying to make the most out of the cards I've been dealt, and long story short...like many people I've felt like I'm at the end of my rope. I've had thoughts of suicide, but never thought I would ever go through with it. Recently, my room=mate and friend of 15 years is excited about a gun he is purchasing for target shooting. It scared me when one of my first thoughts was that I'd have access to it, should I, well..not have my wits about me. I want to tell him not to get it, but if he found out why-he'd go nuts. Over the past 5 years he has lost both his father and his older sister. I know I don't want to do it, but sometimes I don't think very well. I don't have much money to seek help and even if I did...I wouldn't know where to start. Please...any information or advice is greatly appreciated.

Simply tell the truth, that it makes you uncomfortable, do you have children in the home, that makes it x2, with potential problems. If you are depressed, and thoughts of suicide, do call, there is free hot lines, and community counseling centers that can provide support. Be honest with your mate, or you don' have much of a relationship, now do you?

Just avoid the situation as much as possible.
Try to talk to your room-mate about possibly getting a safebox for it. you then would not have access to it.
or suggest that he/she keep it elsewhere.
i am always here for you. been down that road.
love,

Hi there frostycub
I just want you to know that sucide is not the answer, it may seems that it is the best right now. But please, please believe me it is not. Pleaselet me or us know what is going on. It iss quite normally to feel suicidal at times, but it you are having these thoughts very often, i think you need help. If you cannot afford professional help now, shall i say that you,ve come to the write place. I am proud of you for at least trying and not just giving up.
Remember that there will always be some advesities but it's how you deal with them that matters.
So believe in yourself, love yourself, trust yourself, Know that you are love and always be loved, you may not feel that right now, but beleive me you are.
I sense that you are a strong and caring person keep that up. You will feel better in time. You have so much to give to the world, but you have to believe that within yourself to make it happen.
If you need to talk i once again invite you too. We are hear to help.
Shall I say Welcome my dear.
May God keep you safe till I hear from you.

However, I do go to conseling now and I am trying to get my [email protected] together. I hope you do talk about this to someone thats close to you.

Tell him that you really have this thing about kids being accessible to children and that you really wouldn't feel comfortable if he doesn't put it under lock and key.

As for you - you can get counseling that doesn't cost alot of money. Research that in your area..there's alot of help out there for people who want it, just start looking and inquiring, you might be surprised.
