....my own STUBBORN pride!!!!!!

Not easy to finally admit to myself......

Foolish Pride in that I can handle it all.....pride in that I don't need anyone's help....pride in that - one day - I wwwwwill figure it all out.......know what? It ain't happening.

So - now I am stuck in trying to determine just who in the hell I can trust and whom I can't. (Was SOOOOOOOOO much easier to just not trust anyone all the way around.....you know?)

A real BITCH to finally, well - mostly - let go of my pride and ask for help.....still ain't "THERE" yet.....but am thinking real serious about it - if that counts for anything???????

this sucks.

is this "growth?"

better fucking be!

Truth, I too am one that hates to ask for help. BUT a few times last year I was humbled by doing so. It's so true what they say, You'll find out who your real friends are when you are going through the rough times in life.
I couldn't believe the response I got when I finally swallowed my pride as asked for help. I don't regret it for a minute. I am so glad I did ask for it, because without it I don't know what I would've done. I have learned how to help myself in the process. So, getting to that point I definetly think it's growth. Remember, little steps 🙂 Good Luck !! @--]----

Dear Truth,

So glad to see your posts. You really are on a quest for truths and I hope talking here helps.

You say it's your own pride that you don't ask for help. I think we are all that way. I know when I ask for help, or "truth", from someone, I'm not always going to like what I hear....easier not to ask!!

It's like they say most of the time we HAVE our answers down inside us, and we already know what the problem and solution probably is.

About trusting other people....maybe it is more the worry that we cannot always trust ourselves to make good decisions and we have already been treated badly by people we thought we could trust, so we are very self-protecting.

Trust me!!!! Yikes, I have to trust myself!?!

Thank you Giggles. I've enjoyed reading your posts as well.

Sometimes I just come here and "flounder". Today I've had to cancel/postpone some of my day because of ?arthritis. Ugh! So your saying "baby steps" helped me today. I don't want to be impatient with others or disappointed in myself because of it. I don't want to let myself become critical and complaining because of it.

Brynnie, Thank you 🙂
It really does help to get everything out here. It's nice to know that everyone can take something from other people's posts. 🙂
I am sorry to hear that you had to cancel some of your day, I hope you are not in too much pain.

Hey Truth,

You go girl...

I'm gratful I do and will go to any lenghts to ask for help, because I don't and will never have the answers. I have a few wonderful women in my life that are willing to help me when I get stuck, read to me when I'm down, laugh with me when I'm happy.

I don't know if it's growth yet, but you have the willingness and that is a great start. So just ask, it gets easier with time.

You made a real good start when you posted your poems.

I had a sponsor assign me a task of asking 5 women that I knew what they thought of me? Asking the first womane was certainly hard.

Blessing,
Sakti
