Hi Artist,

Sorry, if you are out working, and he is hanging around all day and only playing video or computer games, I do believe I would be as angry as you are.

My husband will help out, if he see's something needs to be done he will just do it. I don't know if that comes from pretty much being raised by his Grandmother or what? He is always neat, and truth be told HIS bathroom is far cleaner than mine at any given time. Of course I have 900 different hair products, do-dads, make up, etc. all over the counter, and he has a cup with his tooth brush, and razor in it. So, I'm a little higher maintenance! But, when I had my surgeries, he would actually go into my bathroom and clean it, without me asking, which was nice. If I do ask him to do something, he will do it though - although he has been banned from the washing machine.

You have a right to be upset and to be heard. But, have you told him this in conversation? Not yelling at him or resenting him? Just saying "hey, I need some more help around here."

Also, Harry - my husband will not win any awards of the year for his "romance" - I know I will not get flowers, or candy (except Valentines day), or rose petal covered bedding. But, what I do have is some one who is dependable, pays the bills on time, takes care of me while I'm sick, listens to me if I have a problem, and is a friend to me and can make me laugh. So, for the romance? I guess I can live without that... although I have collected some nice jewelry from him over the years! But, bottom line, I think the overall respect that I receive more than makes up for the "lack of romance" so to speak.
