I have been feeling very weird recently. I am forgetting things, out of the blue, I will see something out of my eye that is not there, and I just feel so paranoid. It is scary to be home alone at night, but I have the animals. I never thought I would need a man, but tonight I want mine so much. I feel on the verge of a panic attack.

I might have to call a crisis center because I am so overly paranoid. I don't know what to do, but I do know that I can't sleep. I am scared.

I am wondering if this is a side effect from adivan. I am not sure. I took too many though, I don't know what is going on with me. I forget things and then I will go and do something only to forget it seconds later. I need to have a clear head.

Jewel, it may be a side-affect from the tabs you are on...perhaps you could check with your doctor? The forgetting things...well, you have been very stressed lately you are no doubt very distracted, again its probably something that you will need to talk to your doctor or counsellor about. But all I can say is try to relax take some deep breathes before doing a task. Take it easy on yourself Jewel, what you are going through is difficult.

Jewel, do something to get your mind off of it. Get out of the house, go shopping anything. and for god sake, stop taking more than you should.

Jewel,

Any time I get a scrip, there is a little info brochure about the meds. Did you read that? The side effects are always listed along with indications and contraindincations. What does yours say?

Jewel, I did some googling and found this

http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/gene.....az_wcp.htm

Information for the Patient: To assure the safe and effective use of lorazepam patients should be informed that, since benzodiazepines may produce psychological and physical dependence, it is advisable that they consult with their physician before either increasing the dose or abruptly discontinuing this drug.

Lorazepam dosage should be terminated gradually, since abrupt withdrawal of any antianxiety agent may result in symptoms similar to those for which patients are being treated: anxiety, agitation, irritability, tension, insomnia, and occasional convulsions.

PRECAUTIONS
Tablets
In patients with depression accompanying anxiety, a possibility for suicide should be borne in mind.

Here is a site for benzodiazapine withdrawl support.

http://www.theroadback.org/benzo.htm

I think this may be important Jewel.
From this site -

http://www.accessmednet.com/pr.....tion-drug-

information/klonopin_clonazepam-.html

Klonopin Interactions

Klonopin slows the central nervous system, and should be taken with care with medications that do the same thing. When Klonopin is taken with certain other medications, the rate of side effects may increase, and the action of either medication may be increased or altered. Certain medications can cause an undesirable build-up of Klonopin in the body. Ask your doctor's advice about combining Klonopin with any of the following:

Alcohol - Klonopin should not be mixed with alcohol, individuals are advised to avoid it completely during treatment.

Any medication which may cause drowsiness

Antibiotics (macrolide antibiotics) like azithromycin, biaxin, clarythromycin, or erythromycin
Antihistamines like Tavist or Benadryl

Antabuse (disulfiram)

Antiseizure medication like Cerebyx (fosphenytoin), Dilantin (phenytoin), or Tegretol (carbamazepine) - these medications may decrease each other's effectiveness.

Benzodiazepines of any other type, such as Valium (diazepam), Halcion (triazolam), Restoril (temazepam), Librium(chlordiazepoxide), Tranxene-SD (clorazepate), Paxipam (halazepam), Ativan (lorazepam), ProSom (estazolam), or Xanax (alprazolam).

Klonopin and Ativan should not be mixed. They are also both addictive.
I hope this helps - be careful.

I want to be straight up honest with you folks. Between wed and today(it is 11pm) , I took around 45 2 mg tabs of adivan. I also took 8 mg. of klonopin. I feel fine. Just a little relaxed, but my chest hurts. I know you are all going to say to go to the er. I can't and refuse. My fiance does not need to find out about this. I am doing fine. I am typing fast and functioning. Can taking too much cause a heart attack? I have severe chest pain. I don't know what to do. I already went to the er twice for the same reason and my fiance said enough. I agree with him. He is a cop out there patrolling people out on the streets and he worries about me so much. He does not need that burden. I just don't know what to do.

Taking too much will kill you. Have you been honest with the physician that is prescribing these addictive drugs?

Did you check those websites?

In your intro post to this thread, you say "I have been feeling very weird recently. I am forgetting things, out of the blue, I will see something out of my eye that is not there, and I just feel so paranoid. It is scary to be home alone at night"

Now you say - "I am doing fine. I am typing fast and functioning."

So you are feeling better since you started the thread?

I am being honest here. I don't know how I am functioning. My heart feels like it is going to give out.

I am getting drowsy. I need to eat and then just sleep this off.

I have NO idea how I am still here and functioning. I had a 30 day supply of the adivan which is 90 pills and I counted them to see how many I had taken so far since wed and I almost fell over at the amount. I am on over 20 mg of drugs right now and I am completley coherent. Until I get up, i get a little dizzy.

Jewel,

Why is your Dr. still prescribing you addictive medication and why aren't you telling him what you're doing with them? Jewel this is serious... If you don't make some positve changes, you will not be around to attend your wedding. I suggest you seek some help and get honest so they can help you.

I am going to get off of here for the night. Hopefully everything will be fine in the morning. Pray for me. I know I did something terrible but it is too late to take it back. I seriously think that I have an angel watching over me. GOd just won't let me go even if I wanted to. It is crazy. I dont know of anyone that could take this many pills without being totally out of it.

Maybe you have built up a high tolerance to the benzodiazepines. Klonopin and Ativan are in the same drug family.

Jewel, is it the same doctor prescribing the meds that are contraindicated to eacn other? What will you do when you run out this time?

You really need to stop abusing the scrips - you will die.

Last night, I was on about 40 mg plus of klonopin and adivan. Didn't even put me to sleep. I have a very high tolerance. I was having chest pains before I took the pills. I thought that the chest pains were a symptom of anxiety. Turns out, I go to the er and it is something different. The xrays showed that the cartilage in the ribs of the breast bone were inflammed. It can cause a lot of pain. As far as the pills I told them how many I took and I was honest and told them to make my pain to go away. I really needed motrin or pain meds to relieve that kind of pain but I didn't know that last night.
