Enough is enough....I'm tired of being treated like dirt by my hubby. He does not value me anymore...(if he ever did), He makes me feel bad about myself and I think he is the cause of my depression. He wants to keep me weak and codependent on him. The reality of what is and what I think it should be is totally different, so I am trying to accept the reality of now. I'm alone with 5 children. He makes the money and is there with the kids once in a while but that is it. I am on his back burner and I think I always will be. I have been turning up the heat and he doesnt like it. He was his back burner to stay on low heat.
Not anymore. I'm just as important as all of the other burner...if you know what I mean.
I need to get healthy for me and my children not him. I am doing things for myself so I feel better. I don't care about his opinion anymore. I go with my heart, and my heart says I'm beautiful and have many opportunities. He asked me the other day, very saracastic, "what are you empowered?"
I said your damn right i'm empowered. It's about time don't ya think. Things may not change between us but my reactions and attitudes are going to change. I told him
Whatever you give me you are going to get right back....If you don't give me much, you won't get much back. Everything is a choice, and I am choosing to take care of me. Thanks for listening.

You go girl, attitude is everything. He sounds like he is reacting to change!!!!! Like a fish out of water, those reactions to actions, are different, and men, oh when they do choose to speak, what a way with words, cut like a knife if we let them. I used to react, and quit, and got the shovel full of his fear, which I now ignore. That is all it is , try to look at him like a little boy who forgot where he put his wagon, hehehehe...... this is no different than the drunk that is now sober, the addict that is now sober, the passive, is now an activist!!!!!!
No war, no combat, just ascertive...
Wait till the kids get it. Celebrate you hold on to your momentum. Don't let his clouds shade your light.
Its all about you baby.

Woohoo in a big way...You just keep giving right back...Molly's given some good advice...I allowed my ex to treat me like a dog and use me like a doormat for years. When I finally got tired of trying to make him happy, I became happier.

I got a physical and mental makeover. Friends helped with the physical...working out 3 times a week, a new hairstyle and color. And friends also helped me keep my boundaries and accept no more criticism.

You are a good woman and great mom to show your children that you will be treated with respect.
