It sounds goofy, I know, but have them make a puppet show. Construct a stage out of a box and some markers, make the puppets out of whatever, and just let them go to town!

Or maybe you could build a giant fort, my neice is a bit slow as well and really loves that game a lot!

Or, you could if you are feeling really brave go mud-stomping or puddle hopping...:)

RW: I used to play with my nieces and nephew funny and amusing game. It starts with someone singing a song and then when they stop the next person continues with either same word or last letter of it, as long as it makes sense.

I also used to play with them cards for kids. Snakes and ladders. Color books and crayons. Playdoughs

I used to take them every week-end to McDonalds and Burger King and they quite often got free presents
with their meals.

Story telling was one of our favorites as well. Jigsaw puzzle.

Making popcorn and watching funny movie or kids movie was a real treat to us.

These are just a few of the things we used to do. So you got the picture, RW!

If I remember something else I will post away honey! Enjoy playing!

Oh, my dad used to make popcorn with the lid off on the stove, that was always fun!

Cover a card table or something with a sheet or blanket and make up a "picnic" inside with crackers or cut up apple or celery and cheese.

If you could find a big big box you could cut windows and doors in it and "decorate" it with magic markers or crayons.

Whatever the weather, bundle up and get outside -- walk to the nearest park. Nothing settles kids down better than that "room" to run off their energy. Oh -- if it's hot weather, I guess you might have to head for the nearest water!!

Got any large boxes left over from your move?

They love to pretend boxes are big cars or houses at that age.

You guys could decide what the box is going to become then decorate it together by cutting windows and using crayons, paint, stickers, magazine pages or whatever you have handy.
