Okay. This is a weird thread but I notice that there are a lot of people here who seem to post from work. I thought it would be nice to encourage each other to be kind to yourself when you get home from your day at work.

What do you do to unwind after a long, hard day?

Hi Ren'ai!

Good question!!!

I am only part time so not stressful at all. I get on here!!! That makes my day complete. And a nice bath in the jacuzzi helps too! I recently purchased a "Lamp-Berger" and it's wonderful! It smells so great and cleans the air too. Great fan of aromatherapy, candles, incense here

Sunny 😉

First thing i do is park car, drop bags in front door, then go out and look at ocean. Sometimes its rough, sometimes its flat. Its starting to get dark earlier, so I go up to my room, change my clothes and look at palm trees. When they're black and sky is backlit, its beautiful. I love smells but don't always remember to do it. I put on comfy clothes and get icy diet coke. MMMMMM

Ren'ai come here when the frikkin internet isn't shut off 3x's in 3 weeks. 😉 I post from work but depends on how busy I am and if my boss is around he he. But really this is my safe haven after my kids are laying down for the night I come here anywhere from 1/2 an hour to 2 hours sometimes don't even check my e-mail. I can't think of when I have gotten on-line and this isn't the very first place I come. Sometimes the only place.

Good question.

Yes indeed, good question! I walk in the door at about 10:30/11:00 pm, drop my bags, turn the kettle on & make a green tea. Then, I turn on my computer and go have a hotter than hell shower. Then, I come into my computer room- where my Siamese jumps onto my lap- every time I sit guarenteed (as if prompted to)-sip my tea and catch up with the days events right here. Then before bed I usually watch an episode of Dead Like Me on DVD and after that I hit the sack. That is my life right now- no drama and very little excitement- this is how we like it ......for now;)

Hi goingup,

A Lamp-Berger is a receptacle with a wick in it and from France. You put the special oil in it, light it and after a few mins blow out the flame. It freshens a large area and purifies the air at the same time, working off oxygen. I love it!

That lamp-berger sounds awesome! Where can you get one? Online?

My weeknights are frenetic. Last night - got home about five pm after stopping at best friends to admire three newborn kittens resembling little rats, play with her two kids who are adorable. Changed clothes, put on jammies. Hubby called said he would make burgers when he got home. Curled up on couch with new Glamour and blanket. Read in peace. After finishing Glamour, went online and did some virus subscription renewing and ran scan disk, listening to JaRule and playing free cell. Hubby got home made supper, sat down and ate two bites -- pager went off. Continued to go off every time I got to sleep, all night long. My week to be oncall, so no sleeping thru it. Ambulance lights and sirens and sick people fill my memories of last night. Today I sit at my "norm" job, exhausted. Tonight I'm on call at another ambulance service I'm on. I'm up to three now, that I'm a member of. Here in rural WI, we need all the EMT's we can get; hospitals (especially trauma centers) are few and far between.

But to relax? A bubble bath, a good book, and a glass of wine. Maybe next week -- when blood alcohol levels won't matter! 🙂

Hi SFB,

You and I basically in the same field. Gosh I sure can relate those on call times! Sometimes I had 2 pagers and 2 cellphones going off at the same time. That I do not miss!
Nor scheduling.. OK..I think you will love the LampBerger. They run anywhere from 30 bucks to 150 (That's for the Monet I want, lol) They are glass, ceramic and porcelain. I looked at the box and pamphlet and there is no website listed but they are made in Paris and since 1898. Try going to: http://www.Lampeberger.com? Or any Boutique would carry them. That is where I bought mine. Notice I had been misspelling Lamp....It's Lampe..Some french thing I guess, LOL.
