GG

We all have work to do. We have pain. That is why we support each other, but you are doing great. I am really impressed. I hope you don't mind that I read your other thread and commented. I normally don't jump in like that, but was cruising threads tonight, cuz I am too sick to do much else. I almost wish they would put me in the hospital and get me straightened out physically already, but they don't do that anymore unless you are dying.

Love, P&L

P&L, why would I ever mind a comment from you my friend? I look forward to your comments because I do feel you care.

I wish they would put you in the hospital too because then I would know that you are being cared for.
Okay, I am sending you a bouquet of mixed flowers, a massage chair to relax in, some gourmet coffee, fresh squeezed lemonade, fresh fruit, croissants, and soft white robe with slippers. Relax and stay calm today; I will be thinking of you and hope you feel better.

Please take care of yourself...hugs,gg

Hey girl, do you really think I am doing great? I don't feel any different in the recovery area. Just reading other threads, it is now hitting that the changes I want and need to make are going to take longer time than I wished and may be ongoing. Yes, I am impatient too. I just don't see what you see in saying that I am doing great. Sun. night will come and then facing the "friends" at work will come and then...

Hi ladies

Hope you are feeling better today P&L.

gg, the healing/changing thing, it's this lifelong type of thing. It's a crock pot.

What's gonna happen gg, when you face the "friends" at work?

Hey free, so glad you are here. Lifelong, eh?

What's gonna happen at work? Total stress, feeling very uncomfortable, etc. I know the problem is me. I stay to myself, eat by myself, and give surface greetings and smiles only. That is my survival technique. But inside my classroom is my world and that is where I am best.

Hey free, come join us at the amusement park with Jen for fun. If P&L comes, she will have to stay relaxed and off the rides!

Hi FREE!!! Welcome back!!! Glad you are here.

Hi GG, Yes, I think you are doing very well. I agree with free, it is a lifelong process. As I heard in a CoDA meeting, CoDA is like a "how to" manual for living. So, yes you have to keep on working on it. I had a bit of a setback with my health and that realization I put on the other thread, so I am feeling a bit down again. With every realization, I feel sad, and then I eventually get back to CoDA and work on it harder and feel better.

I stopped in this meeting last night based on this other group called "A Course in Miracles." It is another movement sort of like CoDA, but different. SOme people like it. I don't think it is for me, but one thing I found interesting is they don't give any meaning to stuff that is upsetting, as I understood it. So, they don't revisit the past or have "tainted meaning." It seems like a huge course in denial, but on the other hand, denial can be a good coping mechanism! So, they also move away from anything unpeaceful. So, for example, I was asking the moderator, if I think someone is bad and I cannot seem to resolve it, what do I do? She said just get out of the situation. I shouldn't analyze it or discover why I repeatedly cannot figure out good guys from bad or what in my past is causing this...those are bad thoughts. So, I guess I am to, in our language, put the boundary up right away. Anyway, i didn't get it all, so I am no authority and probably shouldn't be talking about it. I am not sure it works anyway.

Love, P&L

P&L, that was interesting and glad you shared it. I have always been told that I am a thinker, I think too much, I analyze too much, etc. What I have found on this site, that there are many "thinkers" like me and you. I like that, I like to figure things out, want the answers, etc. Maybe our different personalities have different coping mechanisms for life. What you heard sounded like denial to me too. I would always wonder why, question myself, etc.

How are you feeling today, my friend?

Hugs,gg

yes and the no phone calls, emails, or anything over the weekend. I just get so sad on Sun. nights. I am very worried about tomorrow since the only one who really seemed to care and knows me pretty well, didn't call like she said she was going to do Friday night. I missed going somewhere because of it; she only knew the time and place because it was out of town.

If I could take a day off tomorrow I would. Yes, I want to avoid and hide. I am limited to how many days I can use because I need most of my sick days for my surgery.

surgery? for what?

get some rest.. i think u will feel better when u face the day. Down time and lack of structure is bad for many of us. You have been doing great. This is a minor setback. We all have them. Get back on track u tough brat. Go back in there with your head held high. You are a star at what you do.

Love, P&L

Remember I told you about worrying about my recovery. Remember that I am not a tough brat; I am the wuss! I will try to hold my head up high.

It seems like no one is on, at least that I know. There is a person with only a 1 after the name and I have never heard that name. I so leary of even answering since the troll monster incident, yet I want to talk because I can't sleep. I laid in bed for 30 minutes, then just got up. I know you are not on, just talking to myself here...
