hi everyone i'm 15yrs old and i have been drinking alcohol for a year now and my mum nows i do it but she doesnt like it my frineds parents now they drink and the thing is my mum wont let me go if there is alcohol there cause she doesnt want me to drink. she told my friends mother make sure i dont drink and all my other frineds are and i cant and i cant help myself and i feel imbaressed. i want to come to some agreement with my paretns and i really want to go to partie and i will only drink to the amount not just as my parents alow me to. i want them to trust me like i can be trusted i dont want to do it behind thear backs any more so how can i make they exept or come to agreemtn or soemthing about me drinkng i know its a yourng age but i really want to parents to understnad all my others firneds paretns do and i want to be the same its restricting me please help me. i feel traped cause my parents wont let me exprenment. i think teenagers try things isnt it better to be hoenst and tell your parents then them finding your lying to them. please hrlp me.

Hi Jess,
I think your parents are way cool for still allowing you to go to parties where there is drinking going on. I wouldn't even let my daughters go places that I thought were not in their best interests.
Your parents love you. They don't want you to get hurt. Its unfortunate that the other parents are trying to help their young adults as well.

Drinking isn't that cool. I've been there and done that. Having friends that enjoy life without alcohol is soo much more exciting. They don't need to drink. They just have fun.

I think your parents need to parent you a bit *more* restrictively to be honest. What's the legal drinking age where you are?
