When I met with my therapist yesterday, she told me everything my hubby is saying about me is really about him. Ex. He is telling me I can't make it on my own, when in fact HE is the one who may not be able to make it.
It put a different perspective on it, made me think twice before I start doubting myself.
Just a thought.

A lot of it is called projection, they realize these qualities, and so instead of finding any fault with themselves, they find it in you, because its so much easier to find fault in someone else and not face your own problems. That way you are still in control.

Oh, yeah - Projection! How about a hand mirror to hold up to his face?

Yup, that is what I would do, say hey next time you want to accuse me of these things, and call me these things, look in the mirror cause thats who you mean it to be towards

Hey CM,,,how's it going with you getting you driver's license, etc. that you were talking about the other day?

Any progress made? You sounded so determined and happy to have made the decision to get your license, part-time job, braces,,,,has anything changed to make you change your mind about those things or are you venting?

Please go ahead with your plans. Or is hubby trying to prevent you from doing these things? W.

hey cloeysmamma! I agree with the projection idea.

Always remember, others may try to cut you down or make you feel small. They have no more power over you than that which you give them. I know that you know your self-worth and what you are really like. Hold onto that, despite any comments others may make!
