I know that someone had responded to this under a previous topic - but I can't find it - hence starting this post.

Thanks.

truthBtold,

That is me. The name of the thread is Made Appointment to See Counselor. Oh my gosh, this stuff is just wonderful. And, I have been involved in all kinds of healing work, but this works absolutely best for me.

I had another session with my EMDR therapist this week, and I am healing all kinds of stuff from the past, and so quickly. The first seesion simply took away a three year long obsession about someone leaving me, just in one session.

I need to post on that thread again soon about that session. Info for EMDR is at EMDR.com is you are looking for a qualified, licensed, and trained therapist.

That sounds exactly what I need. Time has not completely healed my wounds. I have been obsessed yet I know all the information I need to know and have been working on them. But with all that I just wish there was a wand that can be waved and at least let the obsessive sometime painful thoughts that come into my mind on a constant basis. I know and accept everything including the fact that he has another life now and so do I, yet that old abandonment feeling just won't go away. His name, and situations from the past just constantly there no matter what I am focusing on. I don't think it is fair for me to have this carrying around. I just don't know if I have the guts to make an appointment or the money either. I am single mom with not much money.

truthBtold,

Always happy to share something that has been so absolutely valuable to me!!

taj64,

Well, one type of this treatment is kind of like a wand being waved, although there are different ways of doing this treatment. For me, I can think about the formerly obsessive person and event that was traumatic to me, but I do not really want to, and, if I do, there's none of this emotional charge attached to any of my thoughts about this that used to really make things difficult. Nothing mind numbing about this at all either, its more that my energie now are focused on other, more life affirming people and activities.
