getting him out of your psychic space

My husband has been gone for 3 weeks now on one of his joyrides. I am 100% ready to break off the marriage because a lot of new info has been revealed to me since he left this time.

My problem right now (among others) is HOW DO I GET HIM OUT OF MY PSYCHIC SPACE? I am spending hours and hours and hours studying Narcissistic Personality Disorders, logging and documenting all the recent events, counselling sessions that end up being mostly about him, general obsessing about him (reasons I need to leave him, all the ways he has hurt me, on and on).

How do I just turn him off and get him out of my head, my spirit? It's like having a parasite sucking me dry even when he is physically gone!

New Horizons,

Well I totally know how you feel. I often feel like this whenever my bf and I break up. Its like he is totally gone but i can't think about anything else.

The only way I deal is by forcing myself not to think about him. I force myself to think about something else even if just for a short period of time. Then those periods of times seem less and less forced..it becomes more natural. Try doing something that you really enjoy and that makes you feel good for starters.

Let me know how you are doing...I am here and can chat today.

Hi Guys

People can rent space in our heads, and its mostly lunatics who do this.
My ex is now squatting in my head and I really need to get him out. I have been physically away from him since last May, but he is rattling around in my head still. Its draining!!! Normal people don't live in your head.

Hugs

Liamo

stay strong, try to distract yourself. if you keep doing what you have been doing you will keep getting what you have always gotten.

I will pray for you.
