Just
got back last night from my mother's (nearly a 3-hour drive from my
home). The RN who accompanied me was a genuine "pitbull." She not
only gave me incredible, round-the-clock care...she also protected
me from my mother.

Surgery #1 went
extremely well. The doctor did my 24-hour recheck, before allowing
me to travel home yesterday and pronounced my results a HUGE
success. As my eye heals, (swelling goes down, etc.), I should
recover full, 20/20 sight in a couple of months.

Thank you guys so
much for missing me and actually starting a thread for me. I was
not able to go online because I actually could not see well enough
to do so.

Final surgery
(other eye) is in two weeks. Thanks for all your
encouragement.

Love to
all,

- Ma

Having foot surgery this afternoon. Trying to get it all done,
while I am on "recuperation" status. No travel bookings for nearly
5 weeks, so taking advantage of the break.

The
post-surgical blurriness is lifting. I am beginning to see
beautifully: colors, faces, EVERYTHING!! This is truly wonderful. I
am actually beginning to look forward to the upcoming surgery on my
second eye.

My eye still tires
easily, so I cannot read/post here as much as I would like. But I
will be lurking around whenever I can.

Love to you
all,,

Ma

Happy
to hear you are on your way to recovery. Make sure you get some

Just
as an update...

My first eye
surgery was a failure. Got the news Tuesday. Now I am facing a
"repair" surgery on Dec.16th with a top specialist who has done
these difficult procedures before. He teaches. I am hoping he can
help restore my vision which is about 3X worse now
(post-surgically) than it was before.

Appreciate your
support, all of you.

Have left eye
surgery next Tuesday, then the "repair" surgery on the 16th, so
it's gonna be a hard month.

Oh,
Ma. I am so sorry to hear that. How disappointing for you. I am
glad to hear a specialist will be brought in now. Will he also be
doing the second eye? Wishing you success in your next
surgeries.

Have
already prepaid my co-pay for the second eye surgery at the place
which failed to do my first one correctly. (I'm a Medicare
patient.) So, have to proceed, even though they blew it the first
time.
