There are groups called CODA, where you can see folk face to face regarding this. Any therapist can help you, and there are shelves and shelves of books. Most hospitals now have groups like this.

Hi pam g fu I checked out the web sight and it's reall cool.
It reminds me that God is always there for us no matter what and that some of us really need to under stand that although we like to be seen and heard and in the lime light that at some point in time we MUST remember that to stay high we must come down off that mountain of SELF and acknowledge God.

Hi pam g fu
About 10 or 12 years ago I read at least one book about CoDependency and saw that was my problem. Back then, around here people said to go to Al-Anon, because there were no CoDA groups in this area.
A few weeks ago I went into the CoDependents Anonymous web site and found four groups listed in our state that meet on evenings when I do not work.
I went to the closest one, about 3/4 hr. away. Good free photocopies of materials. But later I realized that returning to that group could not help me -- because of the personalities of the other two people there.
Last week I went to a CoDA group twice as far away. It helped to talk to the contact person on the phone beforehand. I warned this contact person that I had prepared something to share. I made photocopies of one of the photocopies I'd liked from the first CoDA meeting and asked each of the other people to share their experiences with those sayings.
WHAT A GREAT MEETING! I DEFINITELY WANT TO GO BACK, THOUGH I CAN GET THERE ONLY EVERY OTHER WEEK.
Good luck, pam g fu
