I just received an email that was forwarded to me by my boss. Apparently he has someone else doing the work he hired me to do.
She used to be his virtual assistant. She responded to a whole list of things he had asked her to do. I am struggling financially and not getting enough hours with him and he is farming work I could be doing out to someone else????

I know the two things aren't related at all, but it gave me the same sick feeling I got when I caught R cheating on me. I called him and left a message for him to call me.

You should talk with your boss for sure. Maybe your boss does not realize you need the work and have the time to do the work.

I do understand the cheating feeling. I had a issue like this at my old company. My boss started handing out all the good work to a friend I hired on. Yes, she did do great work, however, I did too and it hurt. For me things worked out great in the end, I got so frustrated at my old company that I searched out a new job and now I love my job. However, in this economy its hard to search out new jobs when so many are searching themselves.

I guess my best peice of advice would be to communicate with your boss.

Good luck. Shortcake.

Bitsy - That is tough, especially with the economy. Can you tell him that you really need some more hours, and since that other person is doing some of your work, is there something else that you can do, or that she can do? It is hard to confront people. Or maybe me being late here, did you already confront him? Wish you luck.
