The last week I have spent my time in deep thought. As many of you know I suffered a great loss last year and have been trying to come to terms with my new life situation.

Only Yesterday, I managed to get around to reviewing my financial records. I have known in the back of my mind that I needed to change my beneficiaries. I finally did. It was pretty damn emotional. Almost like admitting something bad happened.

I am sure there are many other things that I will do in the future that bring these types of emotions to the surface.

I think I am doing okay in coping with my loss. It is normal to feel this way. The guilt I felt from loosing my wife to an addiction is slowly going away. It was not my fault; I did all I knew (at that time) to do. Reading all your posts helps me with this issue.

I wish all of you well and pray that you have the strength to overcome whatever demons you are dealing with.

Always love your Family and Friends and never stop loving yourself!!

Peace

((thanks))) for the kind words.

I too lost my beloved bf over 2 years ago, to his addiction also. I went thru so much guilt, pain, anger, misery, the what ifs, could haves, should haves....they are all normal feelings. I think everyone deals with a loss in there own way.

You will never ever forget your wife, and you will always cherish the precious memories you have had with her and may her memory live on.

Thanks for your encouraging words.

EducatedMess,

(((((Hugs)))))

I just wanted you to know that I look forward to reading your posts.

Though you are going through pain, and so much is changing in your life... You still write such profound things.

Honest, I smiled when I saw your name on this thread. =)

~Amanda~
