Hello, I wanted to see if anyone could help me with my problem of blushing. I didn't have a easy time of things last year, and this has led to a big loss of confidence.
I'm finding that I hide away more so that I don't put myself in a situation where I might be embaressed. I've tried looking at when if happens and in what situation, but it's different every time. I can be talking to someone or even on the telephone and the thought comes into my head not to blush and its uncontrolable it just happens. I want to try to do something about it now before it gets worse and I end up not talking to anyone. Thanks for reading this. Take care.

Hey hun, the same thing happens to me. What I do is make a joke about it and see how red I can get. Sounds stupid but it gives people a laugh! Also if you embarris your self enough, you won't get as red all the time, I have figured that out for myself. Good Luck

I can totally relate. I used to blush any time I felt self-conscious. What I began to realize is that I was putting too much emphasis on what other people were thinking about me. Also, I may be wrong about this but it seems the older one gets, the less an issue this becomes. That may be,however, just my situation. I agree with Cutie14 about making light of it. If I feel myself began to blush, I just say something about it and it goes away. I hope this will work for you. Besides, blushing is not entirely a bad thing. Some people have told me it's charming.

Blushing is not a bad thing,as Bonita said. It is an expression of emotions. It is exactly like shouting when angry and shaking when afraid. It is ,then, normal.

But people around us,especially when we were kids, imply that it is negative especially for men. So,the first thing to do is NOT to resist it.Let it happen and; as Cuite14 and Bonita mentioned, let it be clear and visible.

How old are you?
How long have you experienced it as a problem?

Remember that whatever you think or feel or do is,afterall, human. And remember that whatever you do or think or feel, there would be people around who do not like it.So it is impossible to satisfy everyone. What is important is to satisfy yourself as long as you know what are your goals in life. And as long as you are trying to fulfill these goals in suitable ways, ways you are satisfied with.

Good Luck.

Use it, I blush too, and at least there are still some things that I can blush about. Maybe that is why the victorian women had those fans, when some thing unmentionable, or unlady like was brought up, and of course back then it was not lady like to accept compliments, the women would do the blushing behind the fans. Perhaps that is why we usually try to cover our faces. Now can you do a southern accent and do a Scarlett Ohara imitation? I do declare!!! How could you all say such a thing I do believe I am blushing !! Shame on you

Right...turn it back on the person who said or did whatever made you blush.

I think it's not a bad thing either.

Be strong in yourself. If people don't accept you over a silly thing like blushing...find new friends.
