I agree, Mamma is a rock of security. Bless you.

OnMyWay, about your dream. Would you say that you were alone in a place that seemed to be nowhere (husband turned away, darkness outside the door, as if there was nothing there)?

You have something precious that is yours - a new life..... (Which way do you want to read that?) You can't find out if it's okay, or if there's anything wrong with the new life.

You are going to 'take it home' and see what happens.

I wonder if you have dreamed of - or even started- a new life.... or have wanted to nurture something all of your won, even though you don't know really how you got it!

I wonder if not being awake at the birth could be a message that you're to wake up and own the possibilities in your life. I cannot tell you the answers, of course, because it's your dream, and particular to the way you look at life.

Hi Lady Virgo, yes, I think I have all sorts of possiblities, but I allow fear, and even some things that may not be "real" to hold me back. I have a new life, or have the possibility of it, but do not trust it. I hate this indecision on my part...and in reference to a new baby...maybe a new chnace but I question it to death instead of enjoying it maybe? Thanks for your response. I have been seeing some new things about me lately...and I jsut make it hard for myself because somewhere I learned that life is not a gift...it is work, work, work.

I probably should add...not a new baby literally...done, very done with that...:-), ha! but a new beginning type of reference.

My sleep pattern is so off whack, I never remember my dreams. How do you guys do it?

I had the exact dream for years. I would part my hair with a comb. Then do it over and over, trying to get the part perfectly straight, but never did. Then I would get to the point of cutting my scalp with the comb where I was trying to part it and it still was not perfect. And I never have been a 'cutter'. So that is out. When I realized I could not be perfect and could not please everyone, the dream finally stopped.

So I see this as my attempts to be perfect were destroying and hurting me. After that reality, I have never dreamed that dream again.

Now I never remember any of my dreams. Wish I did, as I used to dream in colours.

Sew maybe you are a light sleeper, adn the REM is not a part of your sleep pattern? We dream in the REM sleep I think.

I can't fall asleep well. When I do, I almost die. A storm can come and I wake up and never knew it was there. Then I can't wake up easily. No, when I sleep, I sleep hard.

sewunique,
I thought it was interesting that you used the word Part to describe dividing your hair.

Were you involved in a parting, perhaps?

Or - I wonder if you were trying to decided what to do (or think) like shall I decided to do THIS or shall I decide to do THAT. It was your head you were trying to divide. Perhaps you weren't able to decide.

Dreams are endlessly interesting, aren't they?

Had another dream last night, having a conversation with an old wise woman, long grey stringy hair, explaining to me the word "pregnant" in the dream I described above...she said, "You are pregnant and so is your son." I laughed becase the condept was funny. She said to me, "You labor in your life now, and you do not need to,", "Your son labors the same." I thought, yep, too old to literally be pregnant, and my son is a male so he cannot be pregnant...both laboring in vain. I thought it was interesting!

Yes, that is. Pretty deep. A woman with grey hair is usually associated with being a Wise Woman.

Womanhood has three phases. The maiden. The fertile mother. The Crone (Wise Woman). Past childbearing age and having gained much experience through her life.

So what have you brought forth in wisdom from your labours?

I have learned that I do nto know all of the asnwers, and that is ok. That I do not have to know all of the answers to be happy, that what I know now is sufficient and that I have worked hard to know what I know, but dep inside is this yearning for peace to use it. My avene has always been to improve myself, never good enough, work harder...not enjoying the fruits of my labor. My physical body is even holding on to fat more than it ever has...I have always been thin, but I believe we manifest what goes on inside in many ways. I am at a turning point...I'm tired of struggling with myself...just want to be me. In giving what I have learned I don't want to re-live it, which is what I have done. And I really do not want to grow old alone, but not sure how to go about seeking out thisold love of mine. Who knows maybe since I have decided to bask in this glorious stuff of mine, he may seek me out. This is a challenge, whether to go after what I want or let it come to me. Maybe I will dream about it...:-) My dreams carry messages so I suppose that is a postive contribution!

Was also reading in the book of Mark this evening...when Sara in the OT and Elizabeth, mother of John the Baptist and Mary were told they would have a child. Of course Sara and Elizabeth were barren. Another lesson for me is that all things are possible with God, even when the road is rough, unsure, what I see does not add up...all about trusting God for me.
Ok, enough for this dream...nothing like beating a dead horse, but it has been fun to talk about all of this!!

So, now........... is it time to start putting into practice what you have learned?

There's always a balance in things.... if you wait too quietly you will get overlooked. If you go out agressively you may find you've hurt yourself or others....

so how do you attract what you want?

Know that you can live without it, but if you want to try for it.... build up the thoughts, the ideas, the plans, the desire, and do something!?

What do you think?

Knowing that I can live without it has been an important lesson I had to learn, as I previously did not think tht I could...and as a result I ended up hurting others as well as myself. I can remain in contact so as not to be overlooked, but honestly I am so naive in this dept. Maybe if I follow my intuition, and take baby steps. I'll see how it unfolds a step at a time. No worries, just breathing in all in. Appreciate your insight ladyv, as well as the psoitive I see in you. Your spirit is uplifting to many of these threads!

One more thought, as on my way to work today I heard a song about newborns. The song sung, "they are a new slate, without a history, miracles still happen". This also is applicable I thought as well...letting go of the past, beginning a-new, and miracles do still happen...all of this is the opposite of what has been controlling my life recently.

Any more dreams to share anyone?

Can anyone tell me how to remember your dreams? I haven't remembered one for over a year. I wake up very groggy everyday, so it is hard to conceptualize thinking about writing down my dream as I am half asleep for at least half an hour after I awaken. Any clues?

Sorry Sew, I don't know the answer to remembering them but it could be that your REM sleep is in the beginning of your sleep cycle, and that is when people generally dream...so you don't remember them as they are in the beginning, and your lighter sleep may be at the end of your sleep so you wake up groggy....gee, now don't you feel better? Dr. OMW. 🙂 HAv eyou never remembered a dream or has it only been recently?

I've heard of a few techniques.

1 write the dream down as soon as you can, or you will forget and it's gone.

2 Tell yourself you are going to remember your dream....

3 Half fill a glass with water, drink half of it and tell yourself you will remember your dreams when you wake up tomorrow and drink the other half of the water...

There are lots of books on it.

OnMyWay, Thank you for your kind words. Kind of you. Don't you think that it's strange that sometimes we can suggest something good for someone else, and yet, forget to do it for ourselves? I do that all the time!!!

hi!

recently i also had a dream about riding in a truck with my husband driving. In the dream, we were driving on a very steep hill/mountain.When i woke up i knew there is going to be struggling that's going to happen. Its always been a pattern to me or could be a warning for me, that everytime i dream of a climbing a steep mountain a problem will come and all i have to do is to be strong and keep my self in-a-sense.
