YES! 🙂
I think a lot of people do, especially on rainy crappy days. Wish that I could offer a recipe to feel more motivated other than thinking "this too shall pass".
What works to get you out of it? Sometimes for me just setting my mind on one teeny goal like cleaning the kitchen or sending a card to a family member or actually getting myself to the gym makes me feel better once I've done it. Other times a venti carmel machiato with 2 extra espresso shots does the trick.
Today, case in point. It's our first big "storm" of the season in the American northwest. Everything is soaking wet, it's shade of gray #84 is Seattle, and the only thing I wanted to do was stay in bed with the sheets over my head. But nooooo, I had to get up, shower, trudge to work, and smile at my coworkers like everything is just hunky dory and that there is nowhere I'd rather be. Time for that third cup of coffee I think!
How you doing today, Pam?

I have had them real bad for a couple of weeks. It is more difficult for me, as I don't have a tight schedule any more, and so miss it. I am one of those people who need a ton of stuff, and deadlines to work with to get me off my butt, other wise, I loose the day. I think with all the drama in the world right now is having its effect, the ole what next syndrome, and wondering about life, and what is really important. other times we just have to much stress, and need a veg day, so schedule one, and you won't feel guilty.

I don't know a single person who hasn't looked at the giant To-Do list when they've gotten home from work and decided that they could put it off for another day. It's nice to take time every once in a while to "pull the covers over your head". I can totally relate with gingerleigh because I'm from the great Northwest as well and Seattle is going into the 6 months of gray, rainy, just want to cuddle up and forget the day kind of time. Enjoy some personal R&R, just don't stay there for weeks on end;). I think ginger is my doppleganger or something because she uses the same tricks - even down to the venti carmel macchiato w/ 2 extra shots to get through the day. You're definately not alone on this one!

Too much stress, too much work, too much crazymaking, too much listening to other people's problems, too much talking, talking about our own, too much walking around in circles chasing your own tail.....does catch up to you at some point....which usually results in mental, emotional and physical meltdown...the screen goes blank..right?
Exercise and play - can't stress it enough. Got to pop the cork on a regular basis or you'll be swimming around in a toxic septic tank and that pretty much makes you feel like - don't want to do anything but stare. Staring and vegging is fine - but....it's no replacement for a physical workout and play. And hey - whatever makes you sweat is your business. (smile)

What about giving yourself a day of indulgence and pampering? I'm about to schedule one of thosoe myself. I've never had a professional massage before, and I think it's high time I gave myself a spa day! If you don't want to do something, at least do something for yourself, right? And maybe the energy will come flooding back when you're feeling better about your mind, body and spirit. What do you guys think?
