Do some people feel the need to be disliked? Why is that?

This never fails to both amuse and puzzle me and inspire pity. Does any one have any insight into this phenomenon?

I guess I should have elaborated on this one. The other morning I woke up because my dog was barking a lot which she never does. I yelled for her to be quiet. This was apparently even more amusing for the person on the other side of the door (who was my neighbor's idiot woman battering friend) who I realized was standing there making fake barking noises.

What kind of ass beats women and teases small dogs? God, I purposely don't say anything to this jerk, never lodged a formal complaint (though the super wanted all the neighbors to) about them. Why would someone act like that? Is it just immaturity or something deeper? They are young, have a decent amount of money apparently, obviously have a lifestyle of enjoyment and company so what gives? Why spread what discontent they have?

Anyway, I have to ignore them or they will act more antagonistic than they already do. Ugh, just looking to vent and understand.

Yeah, what troubles me is how many of these types there are out there. My last apartment, I lived next door to one of them and was stupid enough to defend myself verbally and got assaulted. I never would have thought that I'd end up next to another arrogant jerk like that. At least this building has 24 hour staff, and other neighbors already complained about them.

It makes me sad because they are on the surface such average Joes, I picture girls like my sister going out to bars and hooking up with them out of desperation. In fact they are the type of jerks my sister likes and thats another reason that it kicks up issues for me. I feel bad she is that lonely. My ex was no good for me, but he was a different type of guy. These guys are spoiled and arrogant and the world is their oyster. It's nauseating that this isn't enough for them.

These guys are loud when they talk with each other and on the phone. Unfortunately I have heard the way they talk about women and it makes me sick. I can't wait until they move someday. When I moved in there were nicer people living in that apartment. Oh well, these ones will leave some day. The sooner, the better. I'm not hoping for another woman to get victimized, but I certainly won't hesistate to call the cops if it happens again. I hoped the building would do it last time, but they cannot be relied upon apparently.
