I am just beside myself with grief and sadness over the passing of Michael Jackson. As a young teenager, I was a huge fan of the Jackson Five and then later on I followed the career of Michael. What a talented man he was!!

I am just stunned.

I am just feeling so sad right now.

I agree, sad sack, it truly is sad.

He was such a superstar but also such a tragic figure.

I always loved his music and his performances. Hard to not hear some of his music and want to dance or tap your feet.

I was reminiscing earlier that I was proposed to the night Thriller came out.

Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett and now Michael, all died within a day of each other.

It is sad, with all three deaths, my daughter asked me if the news was in such a state when Elvis died.. If I recall it was pretty much the same, along with John Lennon and others.

I wasn't surprised when I heard Farrah died but it's all the same juat as sad... she was a wonderful woman, and good actress too.

I am still in shock. I attended so many of Michael's concerts and screamed my head off with my cousin. The next day we couldn't talk which didn't bother us the least. We grew up playing his music, mimicking his steps and making up our own. What a loss!

Not only was he an icon but it's a loss to his children and family. What is shocking to me is that this man was only 50. Brings it home to me how I need to value moments 'cause you just never know.

I feel everyone's sadness with loosing the King of Pop.....

I remember I was 7 when Thriller came out and I was afraid of the video cuz of all the zombies lol and also doing many recilals in elementary school....one in particular when me and bunch of my girlfriends came dancing down the isles to PYT.....it is a very strang day with loosing such a gem to music....I grew up in the 80's and his music always put a smile on my face and I just couldn't sit still when I would hear it.

As I was driving to work this morning I had all kinds of emotions, chills and tears listening to the radio with listeners calling in and sharing.

Michael was a true phenomenon to the music industry and he touched so many of us in so many ways.

Michael will truely be missed. I am sure all the fans will keep his spirit alive through their memories and especially the MUSIC.

Camer,

I agree everyone should stop remembering the negative, he was a very complex individual and people were very curious about his life as he was very private, and I guess cuz they couldn't get any answers they lash out at the man for the unknown.....I wish people would also just let him RIP....

My heart goes out to the families of both Farrah and Michael.

Michael said something so eerie during an interview with Barbara Walters.

The death of Princess Dianna devastated him. He also knew what it was like to be on dangerous ground with relentless paparazzi. He told Barbara that believed death happens in sets of 3 and he told her that he believed he might be next.

As a life long fan, I too hope his legacy is made up entirely of the Genius, the Pioneering, and the Philanthropy that was Michael Joe Jackson...not the other stuff.

I think he was a very complex man.

He was a musical genius.

But his life from very early on was staged. He never knew what a real life was. I don't think he had any foundations to rely on. A subsequently there were many incidents that showed him to be a troubled individual.

I think its sad for the world to lose that kind of talent. Maybe a lesson out of this is how we should treat them, like musicians not gods.

In addition the paparazzi would have nothing to do if Joe public didn't but the magazines.

I forgot to mention the thing that makes this feel so eerie to me.

It's tha fact that his death actually was the last of a celebrity trio starting with Ed, Farrah then him.

Very sad to know that Michael is now dead..He was a genious and very much part of my culture..I remember all his songs and the stages of my life when those songs were popular. I remember dancing to his music and the only performer that I enjoyed watching dance..he was such a natural. His body was like a musical instrument, it just played the music.

Some people are born with such talents..and he was to the extreme and therefore an eccentric, he was a true Peter Pan...just never grew up and his manners where so childlike.

In time we well forget the negative and remember only what great contribution he had on our music and to our lives with his songs.

MICHAEL...MAY YOU REST IN PEACE.

YES it is very very sad that Michael Jackson has passed!!!!! He was such a huge part of my growing up. Everyone knew his music, his dance moves, and he was just so talented. What a shame. I feel so bad for the kids. I hope that the world can just respect the family and the kids, and let them grieve and let them grow up without doing harm to them. The paparazzi can be soooooo cruel and uncaring.

Michael Jackson was such an icon to the entertainment industry. I hope that his kids can just remember him and the good times they've had together. It's hard to not smile, and start dancing whenever I hear a michael jackson song. RIP Michael. Gone but definetly never forgotten!!!
