Gosh, I just lost my uncle (80) to pulmonary fibrosis. It has been a while since i have been to a funeral and it was really hard to see him there in his casket, peaceful and inanimate. You know, death is scarry. You are here talking and the next minute you are lying still not breathing. it made me really appreciate life while we are here. And it made me sad that I did not spend more time getting to know him and letting him know that I cared. Please don't take your loved ones for granted.

Death can be very difficult to deal with-it reminds us of our very own mortality in addition to all the obvious things such as grief and loss. Someone told me once that every day is a holiday and every meal is a feast. Live each day to the fullest, we never know. I have the privilege of taking care of many cancer patients and so I see death frequently-what it has taught me is this-life is a precious gift from God. We often don't realize how very blessed we are when we are healthy-it is when we lose it or have a bad scare that we cling tightly to our health and life. So--enjoy NOW and keep or make peace with the family.
Please accept my sincere sympathy in the loss of your uncle--it sounds as though you are a very caring, loving person.

I am so sorry for your lose. Most times death makes us feel that way. I believe life is precious and the thought of dying make most of us appreciate it more. Having a Higher Power, mine being God, helps tremendously. I hope your pain eases with time.
