I understand the dream thing, Precious G! Last night my bf was having a hard time (issues with daughters which he sometimes would rather hold in, making him crabby... nothing worth writing about though, just regular stuff) anyhow, he was cranky so I got insecure and had a weird dream. Was going to post it here, but just decided to start a "weird dream thread" instead. Maybe venting our weird dreams can be part of our daily self care? 🙂 A lot of people believe that depression causes bad dreams, but the opposite is true as well; bad dreams cause panic attacks at night, which lead to chemical imbalance and depression! Strange!

Precious, That's got to be hard. Do you think a sleep aid might help for a while? All the best. I'm finding that even after sleeping all this, I still feel a little sleepy today. Not like before but it's there. Which makes me wonder, just how much sleep deprived I was.

Robyn, Absolutely! starting the thread is your self care. I for one never know what causes depression, I don't think even the doctors know for sure. They know what the chemical response of depression is and what may trigger it, but I think this is a mystery, demonstrated by the fact that there is really no medical cure, just management.

I'm really learning a lot from this site!! Thank you everyone!!

Fantas - what's funny is I think your designer purse thing might have influenced the dream I wrote about today! LOL! (Well, not the whole dream, but a designer purse does make an appearance... as well as prairie dogs... not sure where that came from, though....)

hahahaha Robyn, that is so funny! I was reading somewhere that the deepest sleep (REM) is when we get the most visual dreams. How about that? Often I do not remember or even think I dream but since I put myself on this sleep fest, I'm recalling some dreams and I'm so excited because it means I'm finally getting some deep sleep. Sometimes I take Evening primrose oil, magnesium+calcium, and they make a huge difference with sleep. Like I said, I tried it all :).

You know what I think? Your purse dream might mean that you should start saving up for one good expensive purse! You deserve it!!:)

Happy mother's day to the mother's here. I hope you find some way to spoil yourself! I walked to day and went to the gym to lift some weights. Still hoping to get Angela Bassetts body :). Long way to go though. I came home, took a long bath, put on my most comfie nightie and I'm watching tv all afternoon and getting to bed early. What are the rest of you doing?
